  10. Hey all! I’m a relatively new boardie. Found this community after discovering a couple of boxes long forgotten in my attic. Sold off (almost) my entire collection 25 years ago and forgot about the hidden bronze stuff that I couldn’t give away back in the day. When I found them recently, I had intended to sell them and never think about comic books again, but you all drew me back into the fold. Not sure yet whether this is a blessing or a curse. Regardless, on offer ITT will be the goodies I recovered from the attic. Nearly 60 lots containing almost 300 books. I’ve started collecting again, buying here and on ebay. I don’t have a lot of kudos yet, but what I’ve got is here: https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/434164-iganatz-kudosfeedback/ Hopefully after this sale, that kudos thread will be bloated with posts from happy customers. The thread will be picture heavy, so apologies to anyone browsing on a mobile connection. One of the things that really drew me to these boards was the level of engagement, banter and comraderie here, even in sales threads. In particular, I’ve enjoyed the larger threads like those by Kramerica. Mark has been especially helpful beyond being a seller, with advice and good humor. So in his honor, the freebies offered in this thread will be known as “Kramers”. More on that later. About the books in this thread: as stated in the title, it will be mostly Bronze with a handful of Silver books. All books are raw. There will be lots of lots, individual issues and full runs. All grades will be represented from readers to high grade. Plenty of mid grades. Terms: Paypal, check or MO accepted, PayPal preferred. in this thread trumps everything, followed by PM , followed by offers/negotiations. Shipping within the US will be via USPS Flat Rate Priority - $14 for up to 14 books in a medium flat rate box; or $19 for 15-24 books in a large flat rate box. More than 24 books and we’ll start a new box. If you’re only buying 1-3 books and want to save some bucks, we can do First Class for $7. I will not ship via Media Mail. Apologies to our friends up North, South and overseas, but for this first thread I will not be shipping outside of the US. I need to get my feet wet with the whole shipping process. Promise to add international shipping to future threads once I’ve gone through this first sale and gotten more comfortable with shipping. Also, since I’m new and longtime boardies may be hesitant to buy from an unknown, I’ll be offering a 100% money back guarantee on everything INCLUDING RETURN SHIPPING. You read that right. I want to establish my board credentials and I want you to be comfortable ordering from me even though you don’t know me from Adam (uh, my real name). So for this thread I’m willing to take a bath if need be on that part of the deal to make sure all customers are satisfied. If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, return it to me in the shape you received it, within two weeks of delivery for a full refund including return shipping. I’m new here but I’m not stupid. If you’re on the Probation or HOS lists, you are not eligible and I won’t sell to you. If I’ve forgotten anything, or you have any questions, PM me. I have high resolution photos of everything, and happy to send upon request if the photos ITT are in some way not satisfactory. Want a picture of the back cover of a $2 reader? Just ask. Want me to send you a picture of a MVS to prove it’s intact? Ask away. Want to know the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow? Ummm… Finally, the Kramers. Periodically, there will be a free book posted, designated Kramer #x. First, read the post and determine if you are eligible to claim that Kramer, then return here for that Kramer’s secret phrase and post that secret phrase ITT. First eligible boardie to post the secret phrase wins that Kramer. Again, I'm new here. If I'm not doing it right, please PM me. Most importantly, let's have some some fun. We ready? Ok, here we go:

Bought some Captain Marvels from Ed during his recent Cosmic sales thread. Quick, smooth and professional throughout. Thanks again, Ed!
  12. Yeah, I never believed for a second that Gunn didn't intend to introduce Him, I think he was just being coy. And I think you're right. When Gunn was presumed to be the shepherd of the cosmic end of the MCU, he certainly could have taken his time and maybe just introduced Warlock as Him and slowly brought him along across several films. New guy might just go from Him to Warlock in one film. We shall see.
  13. Good question, I don't know the answer to that one. But Marvel never saw an outside property that they were unwilling to partner with in the 70's and 80's and often they would end up intertwining with the regular Marvel characters at some point. Thanos appeared in Logan's Run. Bug from the Micronauts joined the Guardians. Daredevil and Ghost Rider showed up in the Human Fly. On and on. I'm not a lawyer but surely there were contracts that were created that determine which studios have the right to develop which properties based on the old agreements from Marvel's sad days in the 90s. I think I've read in the past that when Fox bought the Fantastic Four and X-Men rights, they also got all rights to specific characters which were developed into concrete characters within those books. The only characters I've seen cross between other movie studios and Marvel have been Hulk, Spider-Man, and QuickSilver. The first two have appeared in MCU movies due to explicit contractual agreements between Marvel and Universal and Sony respectively. Sony loaned Spider-Man back to Marvel for a specific number of films (I think they own his movie rights forever). Universal loaned Hulk back, but only for movies in which he is not the main character. Not sure how the QuickSilver deal worked between Fox and Marvel.
  14. I don't agree. I believe Marvel has a blueprint and has already planned years if not decades into the future as to what characters they will be introducing into the MCU and when. If you believe that GOTG3 and the Cosmic MCU will suffer a quality drop or consumer apathy due to Gunn's absence, then a decision to dump Warlock's books might be prudent. But I don't think dumping them because Warlock suddenly gets scratched from the docket is wise. Warlock's coming, Gunn or no. Could they rejigger which movie he makes his first appearance in because of the Gunn firing? Possibly. But he definitely has a future, and soon, in the MCU.
  15. ROM is not a Marvel property, it's owned by Hasbro and that movie is being developed at Paramount. They are also making movies out of other Hasbro properties (Micronauts and new G.I. Joe movies) and if successful will likely tie them all into a shared Hasbro Universe. Seriously. On the GOTG front, James Gunn's firing will not stop Disney from making more GOTG movies, or from expanding the cosmic corner of the MCU. They have a blueprint and will plug new writers or directors into that blueprint; how that affects perceived quality of those properties is something for consumers to decide but I don't for a second believe there won't be a GOTG3.
