  1. I've never owned a copy. Thank you:) Then it MUST be rare.. I wonder if anyone else on here has one? I've never seen one.
  2. That looks like one of mine! I feel right at home now:) Bangzoom, a good friend of mine has been looking for this comic forever, he watches the forum, but I haven't been able to convince him to post...he was wondering if you have a copy of Treasure Comics by Prize. 325 pages ? If so, could you please post the cover?
  3. Richard, you have won me over. I used to not care too much for Daring Mystery, thanks to your copies I am now fan That is one BEAUTIFUL book .. SIgh, must stop...can't contnue being a complete comicaholic...or can, I?
  4. You were all better than wonderful, so this is in alphabetical order. Kudos to flatrock02 , for a lovely Superboy #60, in lightening fast time, with a wonderful bonus book!, Thanks Mike! Kudos to nerfherder-3 who sent me some pretty Treasuries, from the raffle, they are lovely and arrived before I could blink !, Thanks Wally! Kudos to Mr Schomberg, who sent me a wonderful Captain America (from the selling forum) and a spectacular Warfront, from the Holiday Raffle! Plus some bonus books! Thanks Zillions Paul, that was so nice of you!
  5. I see a theme with her and horse covers (CMA #51) I am amazed that you noticed that. I noticed...;)I collect those too, and a few times, she's picked something I've been thinking about.. looks like I'm going to have some competition... But...couldn't have it from a nicer source! She sounds like a great kid! (thumbs u
  6. Incredible Hulk, tonight or tomorrow (depending on when I finish scanning) none are terribly high grade, but they start at #102 if anyone needs some and they will be reasonable. I'll take a corner table, that way I can put out chairs for guests..
  7. Thank YOU, Sharon. You must have one of the fastest growing GA collection on the boards. What do you have planned for this year? Actually, I had slowed down the last couple of years...I was bored...you got me started again...I have no idea, I just wait and see what my friend comes up with...and I'm thinking I'd better start working at selling some of my Silver Age books, so I can continue to afford the GA.. Supersnipe is what I'd like to get next...but we will see:) I'll let you know:) I was laughing, thinking about the Black Hand trecking in mud while talking about women wanting to clean....
  8. List more golden age instead of that drek. That's your name isn't it? I'll be listing some Golden Age Drek as soon as I decide my vacation from listing is over...Ummm...one day..SOON...maybe... I'm out of catchy titles, I think I have writer's block..
  9. Happy New Year to everyone! and a Healthy one...and thank YOU, Bang Zoom, for providing this thread...it's the one that made me start reading these boards, and opened my eyes to all the new information and all kinds of nice new people (and kept me from ever having the time to clean my house again... , but I am having lots of fun...(and finding all kinds of wonderful new books to look for:)
  10. I actually already have 2 lower grade copies...one from skypinkblu with a little glitter addition and one that is just slightly worse than this one, so, this would have actually been an upgrade.. Now, Rick, I hope you realize I do not put glitter on EVERYONE's comics, you REALLY have to be special...
  11. I absolutely agree with Transplant...you need to be very careful. As one of the earlier posters on the Ebay Comic Chatboard, in the past, occassionally, I got some really wacky strange emails...probably because I was female, but maybe not totally...I could handle them...but I never posted my daughter's name, I just didn't want to take a chance...just too many odd people, including one who sent me a picture of my house, and told me he got the "advanced google search" so he could look closer, he was not the first person to tell me about it, but the first one who got the "advanced search" . I don't know if it was true or just a good guess, but he lives in Michegan and knew the color of my house, the color of the cars in the driveway, etc...it was creepy. On this board, we don't share last names and addresses with strangers, and I think the pictures of Ellen were totally charming...and unless you have dealt directly with Kenny, you don't have his last name...but being careful with kids...is just something I advocate, you can never be too careful. Although this is a "private" board, anyone can lurk...it's amazing how many people do. I also had my house broken into on a previous vacation..and although I don't usually post before I go away...I was a litte more paranoid this time. No dobermans, but thank goodness, I have a good alarm system (put in after we were ransacked years ago) and really nosey neighbors who saved us this time...but I hope someone else takes it as a warning...I have shared books here, that I would never have posted previously...not because they are worth so much...but because I'd rather not tempt someone who doesn't know enough to understand that they AREN'T....the professionals will just come in while you are away...it's the weird people I worry about. That being said...I do love LOOKING at the pictures people post...so, if you disagree, I'll enjoy looking at the pictures of your families..and thanks for sharing, but be careful.
  12. Beautiful Books, Rick:) I saw that #92, I couldn't believe it went for $225, it was tanning...nice, but tanning...I'm kind of glad you got beat...although if YOU are sorry, I'm sorry...
  13. Next, a Box 12¢-priced Adventures of Jerry Lewis 72. Not just any copy! The freshly received skypinkblu Pedigree copy! You can easily identify this pedigree because of the helpful notes to the novice reader. The gentleman on the right (obviously drawn by Mort Drucker) is identified as "Bobby", and the attractive young lady on the left is tentatively identified as A. G., but she may be "Too good looling". The area that raises the doubt is obligingly highlighted so no one misses it. From the same batch, does Blackhawk's scorned monster-fighting era qualify for the Short Bus? Blackhawk 169, with our favorite aviators apparently stumbling across the War that Time Forgot from Star Spangled War Stories. Nice purple monster! Too bad about the scissor cut that got snagged on the right edge. Finally, as long as I'm quoting my other post, the inside front cover of Blackhawk 169 explaining to the boys and girls why they had to fork over another two pennies for their DC fix starting this month. Jack :makepoint: Subscribed my SPOON, (I find myself using spoon in coversations lately, kind of like when you look at a friend and say Laughing out Loud.. ..Remind me to only recycle FAST BUS books to you from now on..no more Movie Stars, HOT MAMAS...Funny looking Comedians (although he was actually kind of cute cleaned up;) Besides, you are doing such a good job recycling my books, I'm almost done... Next is stuff like WEIRD SCIENCE... Happy Holidays, (((Jack:))))
  14. You know, now that I see YOUR scans, those raccoons look awfully cute, send them back... The prices went WAY up due to recent high demand. You could say that the demand doubled, in fact. Maybe tripled if shiverbones stops by. Jack Yeah, yeah...you CHARMED those away from me and now you.... (I think I had some of Poverty Row's Sake over on the Holiday Raffle thread, I can't think of the next line...
  15. You know, now that I see YOUR scans, those raccoons look awfully cute, send them back...
  16. WOW!! Those are lovely! I'm glad someone so nice got them:)
  17. Andrew! That looks WONDERFUL!... (Now repeat after me, "it's a good thing to have friends who nag make suggestions...
  18. THANKS, Sharon. <3 Illustrated by Lou Fine, right? Yes, Illustrated by Lou Fine...good eye, BZ:) ! Those are cool, Dan! (thumbs u
  19. Yeah, but they stole the idea from The Island of Dr Moreau "The Devo song Jocko takes its line "Are we not men?" indirectly from the book through the 1933 movie." and 1933 was close to 1940, therefore, maybe the whip was from the movie too...and Uh, oh, I'm starting to sound like other people..
  20. Are any of us, for that matter? When a problem comes along. You must whip it. Before the cream sits out too long. You must whip it. When something's going wrong. You must whip it. Jack Are we not men? Jack, I can't figure out if you are quoting Devo, or H.G. Wells...
  21. Bill , if *I* had a magic whip, I might have been tempted to use it on another thread, ..as it was, I think I might need an aspirin instead after reading it:) but I kept quiet:) It's nice and peaceful here:) From Jumbo 13, as per BangZoom's request for some photos:)
  22. Great Story, BZ:) thanks for posting it ...I did photo one of the Jumbo stories...I'll post it in a bit...not as nice as your scans, but you can get a hint.
  23. Yeah, I thought it was little weird.. I'll try and find another tomorrow, if you can handle the digital pictures...I love Scrooges Scans:)
  24. I am afraid to scan them and I don't know how much good this will do, but here...I didnt' forget, just got distracted. I need to do the ones Bangzoom asked about to...but these were out...From Zip 15
