  1. So I have Thanos quest 1 and 2, I believe they are first printing since the numbers on the interior go from 10 to 1 (second printing I believe go from 10 to 2). They are in excelent shape, I am no expert but I estimate above 9.0.

Jim Starlin will be at the florida super con on July. I also have the complete infinity gauntly, death of captain marvel and batman death in the family, which I will try to get signed as well, but they are not anywhere near the condition of the thanos quest.

Has thanos quest become more sought after with the release of the movies?

  2. So I started collecting around early 90's just when Image was starting, so I lived thru the whole bubble and burst thing, I stopped collecting around early 2000's.

In the last few months I have slowly starting to collecting a little again but I have noticed a new trend in which there are a zillion covers for a particular comic. You get the hottest artists doing limited run on covers and these can cost from $20ish and up and more if you buy signed from them. It seems to be very popular among collectors.

My questions is, will this be a new bubble? do people long term would really care about 80 different comics for a particular spider man issue? or is this a bubble ready to burst?

Well it's tough, I'm kind of in the same boat with you, after my #49 came back 3.5 I have a #50 that looks to be a little worse off. Do I slab it?

At this point I don't know that it is worth it, unless perhaps you added signatures, but that is my own personal preference.... you could slab it to get it over with, just to keep it in the condition it is already in ......

If you've read it and got enough out of it and just want to preserve it now, it might be worth slabbing. Current 3.0/3.5 go for some coin.

thank you for the info, what would be about going price for a 3.0/3.5? is there a website where you can track price trends?

I slabbed one that looks similar, but I got some sigs on it, Stan Lee and Joe sinnot, cause it was low grade. It also came back 3.5 btw. So yours is not too bad off. Total cost for mine after sigs and slabbing was $225, so depending on what you have cost wise into it, these are options. I'm satisfied with mine, but it's up to your personal preference.....

I bought this comic as a teen in the mid 90's, I believe I paid around $12.

  5. Hello, I will be attending the Con and want to get my comics graded, I have never had a comic graded before.

The comics I will probably want to get graded are:

    Amazing SM 298

    Amazing SM 299

    Amazing SM 300

I also have FF 49 (Galactus) but it is pretty rough shape, even parts of the cover are missing, is this worth getting graded?

What are some tips and must know things before taking my comics in? I don't need same day grading, but I suppose it saves me the hassle of shipping the books.
