  1. Has anyone used these? are they worth it? or do they suck

The Ultra Pro Comic Book Display Holder, seem to be the nicer of the two but looks like you also need to buy the

Ultra Pro Gaming Generic Comic Preserver 10 PackComic Preserver in order for them to fit nicely.

The advantage of the Comic Skin, Comic Book Display, Openable and Closable seem in that you can also create custom labels so they resemble CGC slabs.

Now the prices are not cheap, one could argue for the price might just as well slab at CGC, but I guess if you still want to be able to read the comic it might be a decent option.

I do understand the OP's question now, there was a polybagged version of the "Gold 2nd Printing".

After reading the descriptions it sounds like the Gold Direct Version and the Gold Polybagged are the same book other than one being bagged.

I seriously doubt there is any difference in value, if you send the polybagged version to CGC to be graded it will be removed from the polybag to be graded and placed in the slab without the bag and there will not be any mention that it was polybagged.

Here are the descriptions from mycomicshop.com.

Spider-Man (1990) #1GOLDP Polybagged edition. 2nd Printing, Black Cover with Gold Webbing. 2nd Printing, (Spidey's head in UPC box. This is NOT bar-code version). Cover price $1.75.

Spider-Man (1990) #1GOLD 2nd Printing, Black Cover with Gold Webbing. 2nd Printing, (Spidey's head in UPC box. This is NOT bar-code version). Cover price $1.75.

Spider-Man (1990) #1GOLD.UPC Gold 2nd printing with newsstand UPC code. Low print run. Todd McFarlane story, cover, and art. "Torment" part 1 of 5. Cover price $1.75.

I asked the same thing a while back here in the forums, I was told that it was incorrect, and that Gold Bagged Copy is mostly likely someone that used a bag from either green or silver and closed a Gold, so its a fake.

  3. Outside the US in South America and Europe (As far as I know), Marvel started releasig a few years back The Official Marvel Graphic Novel Collection:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Official_Marvel_Graphic_Novel_Collection

These come out weekly, the first book pictured costs only $2.99 USD, #2 and #3 are like $6.99 USD every book after that is $9.99 USD (They are released weekly). The first 60 books when put together their spine make a cool Gabriel Delloto picture.

    The Books are all HC.

I believe the only place they released them in english is in the UK, mine is from Ecuador why the one in the picture is in Spanish.

I know DC also has something similar relased by Eaglesmoss in the UK, but they have not arrived in my home country yet.

Hmmm....I always thought and still think, the Spiderman run by Todd McFarlane (issues 1-16) is still undervalued, and everywhere.  Aside from the #1's of all colors, most issues can be had for a buck.   It was his last significant Marvel work before jumping to Image.

its not so much that they are undervalued, its that they are so plentiful, millions of copies in great condition. The were released in a time people were already bag and boarding all their comics.

What I posted was the difference between the two census updates. CGC would subtract the previous Universal (blue) label  if and only if the resubmitter included the blue label .For example, on what I posted,  ASM 299 9.8  has -5 for Universal blue label. Yes, the graded census can be false if the resubmitter cracks open the graded book does not send back the blue label to CGC.

Thank you, so in reality the census is not really accurate.
