I've mentioned this before in this thread of my latest 25 book submission the one book that irks me the most is my Infinity Gauntlet 1 should be a 9.8 but was graded a 9.2 for a "crease center back cover" which it doesn't have but I'm assuming they are referring to the production error as seen in the pic below. I've sent this off to CGC asking about this and they are checking with grading about it supposedly.

I want to say I agree with this as my last 25book submission all the high $$ moderns came back 9.6's or worse. Case in point I sent in 3- X-men#19 John Tyler Christopher color variants Green, Red and White which is the more expensive the first 2 9.8's and of course the White a 9.6 absolutely nothing wrong with this book. Same with Vader#3 perfect book came back 9.6 and a Kanan #1 came back a 9.2 it's perfect and of course NO notes.

Sorry to hear about your 25 book sub I guess we got the same grader! LOL. I'm tempted to crack and resubmit most from my 25 submission and all 3 from my submission today but I just can't stand the thought of the cost and time to only get screwed again.

3 book Modern slow submission 2/18: Delivered to CGC 3/8: Received at CCS ??: GEI no info listed ??: G/QC no info listed 5/13: Shipped 5/19: Delivered Timetable to get these is looking better BUT again for my second returned submission this month the grades just plain SUCK. Darth Vader #3 PERFECT grade 9.6 no notes Kanan Last Padawan #1 every so tiny color rub by staple grade 9.2 no notes expected 9.6 at worst Moon Knight #1 2021 NYCC exclusive JTC cover Perfect grade 9.6 WITH NOTES!!! "frayed cover" this book is a negative space cover using very thick paper white with black image this is not a frayed cover but looks like a production issue with the coloring by the spine not the worst but still expected a 9.8 I have 5 SS books sent by the artist who signed and remarked the covers for me still waiting to be opened so Lord only knows what grades these will get.

So I received my 25 Modern slow submission which was received on 2-15-22 and received 5-16 not bad timetable at all but the grading is a MESS. I pressed my books and figured at least 18-19 at 9.8 ended up with the following... 9-9.8 6-9.6's (checked these over and there's absolutely nothing wrong with these most likely crack and resend, here's more $$$ CGC) 3-9.4's of these 2 are possibly a 9.6/9.8 the other 1 is a legit 9.4 2-9.2's this is a joke 1 is definitely a 9.6/9.8 the other is a LEGIT 9.8 Infinity Gauntlet #1 it has the production line on the back I've seen lots of these books with this graded a 9.8 kicker is the graders notes says "crease center back cover" 1-9.0 "Moderate spine stress lines" 3 small almost unseen light spine ticks had this drop a full grade??? 1-7.5 "light crease left center of back cover" can't find it this book is perfect???? 3-7.0's "moderate spine stress lines to cover, very light bends to cover" "crease left top of back cover, large bend right top of back cover" can't find the bends or the crease of the 3 they have very small spine ticks not enough to justify a 3 grade drop IMO This is clearly my last group of books for a while. Just needed to vent.

It's really shocking I have an ASM#15 in a 3.5 that's so far off what my SW 42 looked like that if all the things wrong with it are true then it's going to be questionable for sure. Other books had notes for "light bend" or "light spine stress" and dropped the grades all the way down to 7.0's. This was a 25 book submission that I figured at least 19-20 at a 9.8 the others I knew would be lower I ended up with 9- 9.8's.

Modern 2/15 - Delivered to CGC 2/15 - Received by CGC / Scheduled for Grading 5/3 - Grading / Encapsulation / Imaging 5/6 - Grading / Quality Control 5/6 - Shipped Checked grades and NOT happy with what I see really shocked by some and the worst is a SW 42 that I figured a 7.0 to 7.5 and it got a 3.5 and the graders notes have things that I can't even imagine where on this book. Just shocked to say the least probably my last batch for a while.

I really dislike going to the Supermarket but this makes me really hate it now.

2/15/22 25 8,200 MODERN Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging some movement not bad around 60days for Modern slow.

So QC only falls under the case?

it's definitely a QC issue 3 graders supposedly looked at this right???

I was hoping for an maybe 8.0 when I sent this in but the fact that this got a 9.8 wasn't even a happy accident I couldn't sell this in good faith if I wanted. The fact it made it past supposedly 3 graders and still got this grade is comical.

Not exactly 9.8 material I think.

Sounds like SHILL bidding ebay is crazy with it and there's nothing anyone can do about it, seller has another account and bids up the auction once he see's there's another interested party if the interested party stops bidding and doesn't BITE for the higher bid it's always the winner failed to bid or decided he didn't want it. I get these offers all the time it's a complete joke 1 outta 10 might be legit.

Recently had a cover artist remark and sign some comics he requested my name/acct# for a "Creator Agreement" form to be sent with the comics my question is what happens after he sends in the books does CGC contact me for grading particulars? Just curious how this works I did a search but nothing came up. thanks
