It is pretty subtle, but I happen to have a 1st and 2nd print of this issue and I took these pics to try and show the difference.

First is the covers side by side.  I noticed that the 1st seemed to have darker reddish hues, but that could just be a manufacturing thing and not representative.  On the interior, the 1st print "greys" between interior cover and first page match more closely than in the 2nd print.  Sorry if the lighting isn't great.  Based on this, seems like you could have a 1st?

I don't think it would be reduced.

I think you could have small amounts of tape up to a 4.0-4.5 without it affecting the grade.

(Or I hope so. I remember as a kid taping up a fair amount of books I got that were low grade. I did it to preserve what was there. I took a little while to learn to leave them alone. I'd hate to think I made anything in my collection worse.)

This is an 8.5 with the bottom right corner, bottom left ding, bottom edge wear, off white pages, lower right edge scrape mark, and the spine ticks.  A press will help on the bottom ding, bottom right corner and some on the spine ticks.  The bottom edge wear cannot be fixed, the off white page color cannot be fixed.  I'll say 9.2 after a press.

It does not look like a 9.8 inside the Mylar.

Me personally after a press I thank Mybe a 9.4
