Swamp Thing # 1, cover has some lite places that a pressing would defiantly clear up, or should I just go raw?? Any guesses on a grade, I know the pics leave a little lacking. Thank you for your time.

Never read the Spider-Man Clone Saga...should I?
ghost of the wild replied to Blastaar's topic in Comics General
I'm gonna talk about most of all I have read, I found Kane to be just a fantastic character, and he even got his own run as the scarlet Spider, which I found to be heads and tails above Ben Riley" version. JMO. -
There is a comic for sale on ebay, 9.8 so I'm interested in buying it but at the end of the item explanation it says- Acetate Cover. can someone that understands what this means fill me in please. And please keep the responses informative and the jokes/gigs at me for being out of the loop for years and trying to catch up on all this at least kind. I treat everyone with respect, I love this country that I wrote a blank check to protect, I'm not asking you to like me, but it would be nice to make a few friends on here, as when you spend years with a combat group , they are your family and have your back, but there are not many of us left. Thanks for the understanding and peace.

Special forces don't run, trust me I've seen things and done things to protect this country that would shake a simple man. I just find the whole way the thread went was a little disrespectful. I know sometimes people try to make jokes and it comes off in a post as looking like something else. I'm grading so when I'm gone the kid that is into the comics will know what he has, as a grade speaks for itself, I'm not thinking I'm gonna make millions or even leave millions, but they will get more than just a raw book. IMO. I do pick the ones that I feel will be worth more than just the regular runs. don't know why I'm even explaining myself to that fact. But thank you ygogolak for having common curtsy and sorry you got drug into my mess. Thanks to the others for the input, that was helpful. I left comics for a while as I was serving and lost track of what was going on and was just trying to get caught back up to see if my problem was par to the coarse. peace out and keep your aim steady. -

yeah to me comics like the first appearance of weapon H seems like a good one, Retailer Incentive variant of amazing spiderman 1G was limited to 1 to 1000 so yeah I have a couple newish ones that came out with a slight waviness, so yeah here I am talking about new marvels. I thought this forum was for people trying to help people. -

Do you think pressing will help this comic by anything to be worth it and what is your guess as to how much? Photos don't show all cover dents and I know it's rough but it's just one I always dreamed of owning. what would you guess a before and after grade? thanks in advance.

I may be a disabled veteran, but I have enough common sense to know a little about what is worth getting graded, but thank you for your input. -

yeah, but as a collector, it sure feels good putting a 9.8 back into the comic room and knowing when I'm gone, my kids will know what they have. -

Thank you I didn't know that. I feel a little better. Guess all I can do is try some and see where they end up. You would think Marvel would have a better quality control, see a problem and care enough to fix it. At least show the collectors, we are appreciated. They have to know what's going on. -

I've even tried bagging and boarding and putting on a flat surface while putting some heavy heavy books on top, you still can't flatten them. -

I could get them graded, but they are not gonna grad eas high as a sweet flat solid comic, right, they want you to pay extra for pressing (which strangely started about the same time) and by then you have to ask, is this comic now worth getting graded and you stand no chance of a 9.8. As I understand the grading. Right???? -
Not sure if this is a problem just in our upstate area but the Marvel comics are coming in with a waviness to them. To me this is , I'm spending hundreds a month on comics you can't even get graded. Is any other areas having this problem? I asked the dealer and he said it was the new paper Marvel is using. But all 4 comic shops we have in the upstate of our state has the same problem and this has been going on for a while now. Can (if allowed) anyone recommend a subscriber online if they are getting good solid flat comics. Thanks.
