  2. Long way to go just to get back to 1981; the hole is much deeper now though 😉 U.S. 10 Year Treasury Yield | 8:28 AM EDT 3.744%-0.025
  3. To be fair it was was competing with the 10 yr bond at over 15% in 1981, or two doubles in those same 10 years. (That same $75 was returned as $300 with essentially no risk.) https://ycharts.com/indicators/10_year_treasury_rate#:~:text=Historically%2C the 10 Year treasury rate reached 15.84%,benchmark rates in an effort to contain inflation.
  4. That is a fine thing; if we all did that regularly and often in our everyday interactions…a minor “I see you and thank you”, I bet at least half the stress of life would evaporate in short order. That other half, hey no free lunches…life “here” is designed to distract and be debilitating. And, of course, some actors would see such moves as weakness and try to work out how to take even further advantage 🥲 which does not mean we shouldn’t still do it anyway 😁 Thanks Rick for the reminder to be kinder.
  5. Inks are subtly fluid, like a signature. Most guys can’t even reproduce trade dress by hand, without it looking like a sixth grader turned it in.…so major overall image affecting inks? GTFO. Pass.
  6. As various publicly traded companies burn themselves to the ground, the matter of “fiduciary liability” ought to be in the minds of both Boards and shareholders alike…
  7. Yeah, this ever anonymous sin eater 😁 always has, like, um, half the visible fs art out on “consignment.” Can you imagine what he’s keeping!
  8. Hey, c’mon all those post hammer line items just help one really narrow the focus! They should add a few more; maybe our friends in DC and Toronto can help too 🥳
  9. 😂 There is no traditional liquid “safe” option. Too bad, too sad for those captive to a closed circuit management portfolio. Picking up that minuscule company match every two weeks will not mitigate the losses you’ll take nominally and worse inflation adjusted, trapped as you are. But at least it was all tax deferred! It will turn out that your art purchases were actually the “safest” and by far best performing asset too, but the herd won’t realize this until it’s obvious to all and way too late to over-allocate. No financial planner will tell you this, there’s no compensation in it for them and, God forbid, they might well be putting their CFP (another confirmation bias echo chamber micro herd) at risk. But hey, at least here we all have “some”…much better than his none 😁
  10. He also lied to the court and deleted relevant files, which cost him his representation among other things. The coverup is always worse than the crime.
  11. Why the piecemeal garbage? Seriously Bechara isn’t it time you just buy the entire auction and then double the price on your site?
  12. All anybody needs to know is how many “dealers” have shifted from direct buyers to accepting consignments and repping…liquidity risk reduction. Its okay, they’ll still get smoked.
  13. This conversation is about as newsworthy as water is wet.
  14. Sorry bro, I was massive sarc. Hoffman is the devil.
