Follow-up... should that collected edition from Mirage in, like, 2009 (?) still commanding silly prices?
-
Agree... congrats, but where are the pics? I've been sitting on a #1 for a long time... I can't believe he hasn't hit the big screen yet and made these explode. Great set regardless!

He doesn't even show up until halfway through his own book... and then he doesn't even have any skin on! -

Just updating... moved 4 to a good home! If anyone else is looking for singles, hmu -
I don't love this, but I just placed my pre-orders for this month and was very intrigued by her new Demon Days series... really looking forward to it!

Prices on these just keep going up... there's no way I'm going to ever be able to complete this set with the way things are going, so I'm going to go back to working on Daredevil. (If you've got a #7 9.0 or #111 9.8, holler at me!) I'd like to sell these as a lot, but if there is no interest in a week or so I'll look at breaking them up and going individual. Books will be shipped from Charlotte, NC within 1 business day No listings in GPA for the four SS's, so I just used the Universal values for those. Total "last sales" value according to GPA as of today (Jan 21): Asking for the lot including shipping and insurance to the lower 48 via FedEx ground in a CGC shipping box. (Happy to work with you if you're outside of that) Jan 28: I've had a a couple of requests for a few specific issues... I will update the price for the remaining lot as soon as requests are sorted, but please feel free to hit me up. My initial asking was, basically, 10% below last GPA... Zelle, Venmo, Cash, Check, Cash app, or Paypal all work for me. No returns as these are all CGC graded and will be sent insured. Lot includes: Michealangelo #1 Donatello #1 3 (CGC 8.5 - WHITE) 5 - SOLD 6 - SS Eastman - SOLD 7 8 10 12 - SOLD 17 - SOLD 23 - ON HOLD 25 - ON HOLD 26 - SS Veitch - ON HOLD 27 - ON HOLD 30 32 33 34 35 37 - ON HOLD 41 44 45 - SOLD 47 - SS Dooney - SOLD 59 - SS Eastman - SOLD

Woah... just saw in GPA a $12k sale for an 8.5... anyone know where that was? Is that an outlier, or is DD really finally getting as hot as he deserves to be?

So was that it? I remember waiting for the payoff to that storyline for a long time too... I stopped reading for a few years and came back around #350, which is where I think they were still blaming Gambit? Man... that was so long ago... (Going upstairs to see if I still have 350... couldn't Rogue touch people back then?)

Just visited this page for the first time in a while. Still amazed by the talent here... amazed and jealous! Keep it coming!!

Was Stan based on the West Coast back then too? Where was T&I based?

Ross Andru's Amazing Spider-Man Club
Schmakt replied to Get Marwood & I's topic in Bronze Age Comic Books
That's what I'm afraid of... and also how I feel about Catcher in the Rye. But at least Catcher in the Rye fits in my standard bookcase! -

That's what I saw too for a split second when I loaded the page... weird -
I think they tried to make it seem like Gambit... but then didn't it end up being Professor X turning into Onslaught?

If I could push the "like" button on these posts more than once, I would! I still really need to read this book! -
Not sure how I missed that PLOD as that's still what I'm sitting on. That's the first PLOD comp in a long long time. Thanks!

I just finished season 9 of Dallas...spoiler alert, it's a freaking dream?? I didn't know that going in... what an annoying waste! I also didn't know that about the final episode of Newhart when I saw it, but that one was actually pretty awesome. Never saw St. Elsewhere, but... snow globe or whatever. I guess there's also that season of Roseanne... So are there any long running comic stories that pulled this trope at the end? I can't even think of any specific minor arcs that did it ATM, but I feel like I've definitely come across them... (One More Day is all that comes to mind even though it's not exactly the same... and that was awful.)

Ah... American Comics! The closest store I had growing up was over an hour away, so I did a lot of orders through them. I loved getting those orders and still have a couple boxes kicking around here almost 30 years later. I certainly didn't know anything about b&w indies back then. It was all McFarlane, Lee, Larson, Marvel, and Image until I finally got my license...

I really appreciate the DH over sized hardcover collections too. Would like to be able to have the whole story in that format, but it's not quite complete, right? I haven't looked in a while... War Child is the first I ever read due to that badass Biz cover on #1. For a long time that's all I knew of Grendel... but Hunter is the shiz, and I'd love to see his story adapted. Seems like it'd be a fairly cost-friendly story to make too... But either way... don't need it on TV for it to still be great! I should really upgrade my 1-3 before that happens though...
