Yep, and unfortunately the series is half over and that one scene was the best part of the show so far. The Disney+ shows have great production but I have found them underwhelming. Hawkeye so far for me has been dull to say the least. The shows just seem to be advertising for what’s coming.
Here, here. Couldn't agree with you more. The ogling over shows that are just 'eh' is beyond me; rehashed characters, storylines, and so on. I get that Marvel is a business and needs to generate dollars but the content is all-in-all bland. Granted, I'm fully aware not EVERY episode or show should showcase BOOM MICHAEL BAY EXPLOSIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! however the shows are borderline boring, no thrills, no new characters to fall in love with. Bland. Are they produced well? Abso-freaking-lutely. Are they interesting? As a whole, not really.

You manipulated the view to focus just on the domestic market. You posting 'lists' is more for laughs than logical reality. And funnier when you post point-in-time news articles where at that stage Shang-Chi was noted as gaining traction and in your mind the world stopped there at that point.
Be honest: Disney pays you in Jiminy Cricket bucks.
I'll trade you a Schrute buck for your Cricket buck.

I don't understand Gunn's obsession with Stallone. I could be wrong but I vaguely remember hearing that Gunn fought for Stallone being in GOTG 2. Sly is 25-30 years past an acting prime and now he's just skin glued onto bone. Zero clue as to why he's still relevant.

Viewed it last night and to me it's the epitome of a one viewing's enough type film.
Ridiculously annoyed there was no explanation of Wong and Abomination's affiliation within the film, like at all. Yes I understand the end credits explained a TINY bit, but no footnotes, nothing explaining why they were there in the first place. I'm sure there's something within these boards as well as the 'ol google machine but I'm not that invested in the movie to care. And please, can we not cast Awkwafina in anything ever again? Just the worst.

i was surprised how bad this movie was, at leat the first 30 minutes. from the start, it does not seem to know what tone it means to have. it appears to be setting up to be a BOURNE type suspense thriller. then Nat battles what appears to be a robot. hm. shades of ultron without a personality. very boring character and a boring fight as well. then she battles, with weapons, and apparently meaning to kill her sister? florence pugh is a good actress but perhaps not one that i buy as a physically intimidating assassin. yet another super boring fight and a ridiculous one since they end up talking normally after trying to kill each other. two boring and ridiiculous fights were enough for me.
i just could not find a reason to keep watching. i dont usually have that issue with marvel films. a film should suck you in, but this one spit me out. if it gets better later, good. but i'm not watching any more of it.
+1 to ALL of this.
Moreover, the atrocious fake Russian accents were borderline comedic.

GotG was "risky", as a complete unknown to general audiences.
Doctor Strange was "risky" for bringing magic into a universe that they tried to keep 'grounded' (on Earth).
The Eternals is "risky", as it looks boring AF.
Sweet baby jesus, thank you for saying this - completely agree.

The character looks great but I'm confused on how Abomination fits into this film in any way. Full disclosure: I know nothing about Shang-Chi's comic canon..

This.
Plus - it ignores that *superb* trailers can translate into garbage movies, and/or mediocre-to-poor box officer performance.
Examples off the top of my head include:
- Suicide Squad
- Watchmen
- Matrix Reloaded
- Spider-Man 3
- Snakes on a Plane
And while I think it was a *great* film, I'm willing to bet many on this site would say the same about Iron Man 3 - that the trailer was far better than the finished product.
I remember the first Fantastic Four reboot trailer being pretty darn good and I think we all know what happened there...

The FTC won't let it happen. Disney would be going from 34% of the comic market to 64%.
