I don't have an unslabbed #1 to flip though, but a silver-age 12-cent Marvel of that era has 16 double sided pages, not counting the cover. To count for completeness, you should count 8 pages from the splash page to the centerfold (where you see the staples). You could continue and count 8 pages from the centerfold to the back page but it's not really necessary.

my favorite meltdown!!! and his attempted rehabilitation Holy mess that took a long time to read!!! Honestly, I tried to get through the first thread and finally gave up after 87 pages... Although, I must say that photo that FleeMarquette posted on page 37 (Frankie with the comic and the 1912 newspaper) made it worth it! I laughed so hard I almost cried.

I'm surprised that Archie #10 didn't grade a lot higher. It looks like at least a 7 from the front cover!

Ayn Rand I re-read The Virtue of Selfishness about a year ago, also by her. The first time I read it, many years ago, I wasn't really ready for it.

Okay, this one is just back from CGC. I'm really happy with the grade I got on this - it was definitely the highest grade I feel I could have hoped for. I have two early Archie books coming back from CGC in the next few weeks. It's so hard to wait!

GURPS is a fun system. I have played GURPS fantasy, Traveler and Space. (thumbs u We played Space some years ago. GURPS is very elegant system in terms of game design. Everything can be resolved as a contest of skills. The best thing about GURPS is that you can play a game in any world. For example, we once had a GURPS adventure for a convention based on the movie Total Recall.

Okay, I did play AD&D back in the day. However, more recently my family had a GURPS Fantasy game running for many years. Here is my character sheet for my elven magic user, Fiona. GURPS stands for "Generic Universal Role Playing System" I couldn't find any of my old AD&D character sheets....
