  1. 8.5 based only on the front . no real back cover pics with the clarity to give the overall grade .
  2. 1. ADAMANTIUM 2. zzutak 3. scburdet 4. grendelbo 5. Mars 76 6. jbpez 7. youfoundjake 8. JollyComics 9. davidking623
  3. Nothing like buying a Original Owner book from a original owner , has more value to me then just buying the grade .
  4. Gemini Mailers are not perfect either lets face it your using less cardboard weight to Comic Book weight . Sure Gemini Mailers work really good but unfortunately there is always the X Factor , the mailmen .
  5. When is the next Hot Movies I don't really know as I don't pay attention . I chased Comics for 18 years and with no real time to list them and only trying to get my money back has been my reward these last 3 years as its fun going thru stuff and listing it since I walked away from my job 3 years and 3 months ago. Cash is King for sure , although I like me Silver
  6. I guess nothing is to hot in the Bronze age . Wow ! I do not think I have seen this thread go this long with no updates .
  7. Its best to assume the buyer is telling the truth given he does not want to reveal the seller as he is giving the seller the chance to make it right , although Ebay is involved in the decision making process .
  8. This is great to see , outstanding ! Luckily for me I did not make this mistake because I would side with returning your money . I feel if you could negotiate a settlement between 100 and 400 would be better as I truly feel the 100 he offered is you getting hosed .
  9. Clearly the seller messed up and with the what sounds like pretty decent feedback . Your right about asking if all the pages are there , nothing clipped out or cut out and he told you it was a complete book . I understand he offered a 100.00 dollars back as a partial refund but you did not inspect the book before sending off to CGC which is clearly a mistake on your part but since the mistake lands on you and the seller from both ways how about offering a refund of the difference between the 100 and the purchase price of the book and shipping and shipping it back on you . Its not perfect but its not like you have to take the sellers offer and lump it .Its negotiating the problem between the 2 parties which technically speaking are both at fault and each other absorbing the pain of the transaction . Good luck !
  10. WOW ,this thread , Thanks though . Its just interesting , really !
  11. Seems like I was arising Star not to long ago and remember being a total Newbie at one point .
  12. Wishing Luck to all 3 . 13 wow almost a shame they all do not get 500 each for grading so well .
  13. 5.5 it probably would benefit from a press
  14. Yes missing things I can see from a distance that is not anything higher than a 9.0 , I didn't even have to look at the listing , it was obvious , but in order to capture the book I did . Its a 100 % seller , so that at least gives pause as to it is legit , although maybe we could say CGC blew it on the encapsulation of the book ,so what happened to quality control ? Its a from a distance not a 9.6 book , not even close . I suppose the book could press to a 9.6 , although really not interested in buying and upgrading a book to its grade though .
  15. Found this on the bay looking at some Star War 68 , really ?
  16. Best thread that I have read in a while , seriously had tears going out from the side of my eyes laughing my head off ! Thanks Do as I say
  17. I don't know all the sites but I remember trying to bid on comic connect for some books and trying to wait till the last few seconds and I had to wait for another 5 minutes . wasted my time and never pursued other auction houses because of it . Comiclink has worked out great for me but yeah always a little mystery because of no back cover but when I bid in the last few seconds I always either win or lose and don't have to wait 5 minutes to find out again .I did notice a few auctions ago on some of there bigger books including a back cover scan so that seems like a improvement .
