Kenny Sanderson is currently working on my pinup I previously posted here to restore the border and get it back to complete, so I will likely marry that back to this front, since this front has obvious missing artwork needing recreated as well anyway. I know many despise restoration and that's fine, I am personally fine with it if it's well done. I know many would leave the chunky front unmolested and this back cover split and married to an interior but I dislike the missing piece chunky look though. I am assuming Kenny's work would be be reversible anyway. The way I see it a married covers and first wrap green label 1.0 or a nicely restored 2.0 or 3.0 in appearance is a wash anyway value-wise. Interested in other's thoughts?

So now, I am down to needing a first wrap ... so if anyone would be interested in possibly selling the first wrap please contact me. Or if I do go the route that this newly acquired back cover is available, I would maybe take cash and a first wrap as part trade. *** for sure nothing is set in stone, I have to see what Kenny's thoughts are on my current plan. ***

Page 7 and page 8 recently went for over $3k on eBay too… hopefully this doesn’t spur people to start breaking up their copies.

I’ve always wondered, A5 restoration can include:

• Any piece fill over 2" x 2" and/or color touch over 4" x 4". Recreated interior pages or cover.

Recreated interior pages or cover is why I’ve always avoided extensive restoration. Can a book really get a graded number and not Ng with essentially an entire recreated front or back cover or recreated missing internal pages?

Totally agree. There are 201 blue label x-men 1 in 8.0 or better and over 3800 blue label on the census while all star 8 has a total of only 130 blue label books on the census. That books seems criminally undervalued at this point.

I’ve sold a lot of sports cards on the site. Made a few purchases as well. Never had an issue.  I don’t know what they do however if there is an issue or fraud. If they take any responsibility or try to resolve it etc. 

I think tec140 is still severely undervalued when looking at the importance of the book and rarity.  How many low-mid grade tec 140’s can you get now for a common 9.6 gsx1 🙄.

$246k is quite a result with the page quality. That being said I still think it will look like an incredible bargain in a few short years.

Already at $200k. Looking like the people that got the 5.0’s for $350k non brittle certainly should be happy. 

I don’t think we will see complete (with front and back cover) bat1’s selling for $40k anymore no matter the level of restoration. I guess we will find out though in the next heritage signature auction.
