This was in Charlie Crane’s collection.

It’s been for sale in auction before. forgot which auction however.

I was told by another collector that it had been "offered for sale" previously but had no takers.   I'll have to dig out the old Sothebys and Christies catalogs and try and refresh my memory.

Funny, a friend just sent me this pic a couple of days ago and it made me think of this thread.

He printed out results for all the eBay auctions he followed from 1998-2002 and filed them away. He's got several other boxes just like this.

I'll see if he'll share more here.

Wow.  Reminds me that I did the same thing in the infancy of ebay.   Problem was that after filling several boxes and making several housing moves I felt it was more trouble than it was worth.   Taken to the local dump and lost forever!

    doh!

And the doorbell just rang and it was....Fedex delivering this package. So maybe that is why the error message was given. SOOOO ignore everything I have said in this thread ;)

Funny you say that.   My package was scheduled for delivery Monday and made plans to have someone available to receive the package.    I got home from running weekend errors today and there was a large Fedex box left outside my garage!!!   Oh well.

I'm sure HA will do a press release on it eventually but does anyone have intel on what the "Great American Comic Strip" auction on Feb 26th is all about?

I consigned some strip art to them recently and see that it showed as being part of that auction.   Other than that, nada.
