I pull from several different auction sites including some 3rd tier places. The majority of the sales are from Heritage.
Thanks for sharing. Interesting data. Does this number include auctions where the pages failed to sell (i.e. NateSaunders)

Boy, would I love to buy it and find out. It could hammer at 5 figures, tho.
I believe I saw one at NYCC this month. Might have been this book with a 12K price tag. Don't remember which dealer had it but I believe he said it came from an original owner collection

@GreatEscape provided this pic of Moy's booth...just noticed the top banner about high end graded comics...if that is his sign, then, is it a "new" sign, & does it represent a significant deviation from a more typical 'original comic book art only' reseller strategy?
I thought the same thing when I saw the banner. It actually belongs to the comic dealer on the other side of Albert's booth.

I wonder if this is one of those Frazetta oils like Neanderthals where the dusty browns in the background are actually the masonite of the board he was painting on.
Glen
My recollection is that it is all oil.

Not a big fan of the painting. Saw it several times when the consignor had it for sale at SDCC about 10 years ago. Will be interesting to see where it closes.

Judging from the location of the white out in the inked version ("N" in Returns for example) as well as other areas, it appears that Frank inked the pencil version which I posted. Happy to hear other people's thoughts.

I would have your friend reach out to Josh. Perhaps he could reach out to the new owner to see if he is entertaining offers.

Yes. The original pencil version was published in one of the trade paperbacks. This is the first time I have seen it inked.

That’s what is driving me crazy. I only collect WWII covers and there aren’t many in this run. They don’t come up often. I’m prepared to pay $2400 this very moment. 😢
I would contact Josh at CLink and see if he can ask if the buyer is willing to make a quick flip.

Congrats on the happy ending. Gotta love the USPS. Reminds me of a story back in the 1980s when I was completing my EC run of books. Tracked down a copy of Tales of Terror Annual 1 and the guy shipped it to me using "ME" as the abbreviation of Massachusetts instead of "MA". Package was lost for TWO years. It did eventually get delivered to me in a very weathered package. Unreal.

Peanuts Sunday did very well, way exceeded my expectation and sold for a lot more than the last time it auctioned.
Take a look at the final results. It says sold for 50K. Yet when I was watching the auction live it was closer to 80K. WTF??

Congrats!! I was rooting for you!

Yowza!! You don't see that everyday! Congrats!

Th "old timer" being interviewed is 52. I hear he is selling much of his collection to support his Geritol addition. Very sad.
