  1. I know seanfingh has an opinion on one.
  2. my first posts were in the please grade my thread. don't remember how i discovered the boards.
  3. I'll not read it then pay ebay prices. Plenty of good books out there these days.
  4. Port Comics on Long Island was the first shop i went to in the 80's besides 7-11. Every couple of weeks my dad would drive me up (45 minutes or so away) and would go often when I started driving. No idea if they are still there. Think they were in Comack. Also was a shop called seredipity comics in the smithhaven mall on Long Island I would take the bus to.
  5. I couldn't get through the kickstarter book, did nothing for me. May revisit at later time.
  6. Love that All Star Western #58 Greggy!
  7. I'm just a guy, with a very good reputation on the boards and in the hobby in general. The non condescending type who can actually grade a book. Don't worry about me though, I'm not the issue here. A half dozen people have already said the book ain't even close to a 9.8 and this has been a very enlightening excerise. Jim obviously it's not one of his tomato boxers, they are all 9.9 on ebay
  8. I read the #1 of enormous and was underwhelmed. I grabbed the big copy for no real reason than it was super cheap.
  9. grabbed a copy of the one shot. My LCS has like 30 of them that were in the storage room. It was a total bust for them when it came out
  10. good dollar fodder at your next show Lar. You should make a killing
  11. now he's trying to trade his books in WTB. He just doesn't get it. Some sucker will take him up on it tho
  12. i hope lootcrate uses a bigger box than last month.
  13. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=phantom+variants&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc People making money hand over fist, especially the older releases.
  14. I don't buy Larry variants and I do pretty good. Local Hastings so I go that route but that dog for the most part has run away. With the exception of a few, the Hastings variants stay on the shelves by the hundreds. Once again i'm not a retailer who gets all my books for $1.50, so comparing what is $5-$10 hot to Larry and myself are apples to oranges. You all go on buying the variants, no skin off my teeth. Hope you all make mint and put your kids through college.
  15. My eyes gloss at your covers. For every "winner" there are nine losers. Good for you that you sell them at cover and make your money back. Nice that you help indy artists but quit with all this winners stuff, we should have listened blah blah blah.
  16. because it would weigh 30 pounds and crack just by looking at it
  17. My LCS didn't get any. They remember an oversized book from a few years back that didn't do anything, so they avoided. I asked them to order a few.
