I could be misremembering, but I believe these sold a few years ago in another auction. Don't hold me to it, but I think in that auction they listed the three head shots as done by Toth and the rest by Sgroi. Sgroi was a strong artist but could not draw as well as Toth. Those head shots are definitely better than the figures on the boards. Seems potentially plausible to me.
These were also done in the early to mid-60's and Toth's animation style was still closer to the Space Angel series than what we remember him for. These head shots feel more like that than what we know ultimately became Space Ghost. In any case, it's impossible to know who did what with all this stuff unless it's signed. Multiple artists did drawings for the H&B show pitches back in the day including Ed Benedict, Bickenbach, Iwao Takamoto, Doug Wildey, Toth and more.
As an aside, I used to know Tony Sgroi's daughter as she also worked in animation. Tony is mostly unknown but worked on so much stuff that we all grew up on. He was one of the most prolific animation artists at H&B for years. It's fun to see some of his art posted here.

I’ve had these stickers forever, since I was a little kid. They may have even been my mothers. They are pretty beat up. They all have a copyright date of 1958.
Anybody know anything about them? Are they rare or valuable?
These are really fun! I love the bright colors that were used on Peanuts merchandising in this era. There is a very loyal fanbase for Peanuts merch. They used to get together in Santa Rosa, CA, near the Schulz Museum for sales but not sure how the pandemic impacted things. Sadly, the stickers you have are not very valuable from a monetary perspective. It sounds like there is some nice sentimental value with them though if they have been with you this long. Priceless!

That's really nice! I wish Salmons had done more work. He really had a great style. Good luck with the page!

I was able to sell enough to fund my purchase so I'm moving the remaining Timm pieces back into my collection. Thanks to everyone who looked or bought. Very much appreciate it! It allowed me to get a page from something I've wanted for a long time.
Still have some other art available by the likes of Matteo Scalera, Filipe Andrade and Shane Glines.

Need to raise some funds for a purchase, so I've updated my CAF For Sale folder.
Bruce Timm covers and superhero art. Green Lantern, Red Sonja, All Crime and more. See a sample below.
Prices are listed but make me a good offer and I'll consider it. Thanks for looking!

Well the day has come... the biggest hole in my collection is filled...
Jim Lee and Scott Williams from X-men 2 ... Xavier vs Magneto.. the essential basis of the whole X-men mythos... two sides of the same coin.. best friends at odds over ideology and the fate of the mutant world in the balance.. massive thank you to my friend George P for letting this one come live with me. I could not be happier!!
Congrats! It's been fun to see all the additions you've gotten so far. This has to feel like you made it to the top of Mt. Everest. Love the detail on this page. Just perfect!

I love his short run on Detective Comics issues 569 to 575 so much. Davis and Neary were so perfect together.
I'd love to find any pages or covers if anyone has any leads. Willing to buy or trade. Please feel free to reach out here if you have anything or via my CAF gallery, which I've linked below. Thanks so much for any help!

The strips it's based on are beautiful and show Linus' humanity in an interesting way. I'm so glad to see this strip emerge and very, very happy to see it land in your collection. This thread is filled with your appreciation for Peanuts and it's always nice to see Sparky's art in the hands of folks that love it. Huge congrats to you!

I love that Batman MotP piece. Used to own it years ago and still regret letting it go
Thank you! I love the final painting of this cover a lot, but I will admit that I like this prelim more. I'm a big fan of Timm's ink work. He is a wizard with color but I feel like the animator in him shines the most when he is inking.

Eduardo Barreto worked for over 30 years in comics mostly known for his DC work like New Teen Titans, Shadow Strikes and a number of Superman covers. He was a true work horse and mostly over looked. He was overshadowed by George Perez and José Luis García-López on New Teen Titans, though I prefer Barreto over both of them on New Teen Titans. He did some mazing compositions, his use of light and dark on Shadow Strikes always blew me away. I wish he was given more more at DC and Marvel. He dies in his 50s, way too young.
New Teen Titans #31 Cover
New Teen Titans #39 page 20
The Shadow Strikes #2 cover
Shadow Strikes #13 page 5
Speeding Bullets Cover
Sinbad, The Coils of the Serpent GN (last project he worked on which went unfinished)
Thanks for posting those Barreto Shadow pages. I really loved his run on that book. Just beautiful art that had wonderful nods to the past but also felt very present and modern. Beautiful work all around.

Nice! Always cool to see vintage Thundercats material. Wish I could help but I can't place those offhand.
Offtopic, but perhaps you will enjoy seeing this.
There were some really nice Thundercats paintings done by an illustrator I was friends with before he passed away (Greg Martin). They are for the VHS releases circa 1985.
Here's "The Ghost Warrior" from my collection.
Oh man, that is some vintage 80's goodness! So cool to see! Thanks for sharing. It took me back in time!

Interested in any comic pages, covers or prelims by Bruce Timm. Willing to pay above market value. In particular, hoping to find pages from the Batman Adventures Annual 2, the Demon special, but looking for any pages at all. Also open to trades and happy to share my CAF link. Please send me a PM if you have something.

In the spirit of Black Friday, now with a lower asking price of $1200.

I hate to let this go but I need to fund a new purchase. Up for sale is a set of pages from Parker: The Score by Darwyn Cooke, master artist of Catwoman, New Frontier and more. These are pages 110 and 111. There is additional art on the back where Cooke was thumbnailing out other Parker pages.
I'm asking $1500 or best offer. Make me an offer and we can talk it through. Buyer to pay via PayPal and must cover all shipping costs. I will pack it up tight and safe!

I worked for the family of Charles Schulz for 2 years as their animation director from 2009 to 2011. Jeannie Schulz is a wonderful caretaker of Sparky's legacy. It was always a treat when new packages of strip art arrived in the mail to be added to the museum collection. If you have not visited the Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, I highly encourage you to make the trip. It really is worth it.
I am lucky enough to own this cover to the book adaptation of the second animated special, "Charlie Brown's All Stars." Unlike most of the adaptations, all the art for this book was created by Schulz instead of using cells from the special. The whole book is really beautiful. This scan is a little more yellow than the actual art. The colors don't show up too well in a regular scan for some reason.

Hi,
I have bought a few pieces from them in the past. I work in animation and was working on a book about the Art of Peanuts Animation. The nice folks at the gallery allowed me to come browse the work that they had in the store. They also provided scans of a few items that we ended up using in the book.
Since I got to know them a bit, I ended up buying a few pieces. The biggest spend was on a Mary Blair painting from Peter Pan. They were great in negotiating a bit of back and forth with the owner of the painting who was consigning it to them for sale. Pretty smooth transaction.
I see them at events every so often. There is an animation centric event called CTN every year in Burbank, CA. They usually have a booth there. Folks seem to have no issues buying from them at shows.
Hope that helps. Smooth dealing every time I've communicated with them. Hope you have a similar experience if you buy from them.

For some reason, every time I submit the full name for the talented artist in bold above, the board edits out his first name. So I'll just say his full name was Richard Bickenbach, although he went by the shortened form of that name instead of the formal one.
