Here's my Golden Age Peanuts run thus far. I will be looking to upgrade a couple books going forward, especially the Peanuts one-shot and the TT188.

After Surfing Alien mentioned this book about a year ago, I have been casually searching for a true first edition copy. I finally lucked into one! Anyone have an idea on the value of this?

bobbiee121 This seller sold a Flash 276 Whitman book, cancelled on that seller (whom I know) and relisted. Sold it to me, but never shipped. Almost three weeks later, he cancels on me and ships it to the first buyer. And to top it all, the book finally arrives and there were two centerfold wraps missing on the book. Stay away from the seller. He has a fair number of negative and neutral feedback already. Avoid this seller! bobbiee121 AKA as "Boss Comics 77" puts an anticipated ship date almost 30 days after every auction sale. I can assume this is to stretch the process of each sale and minimize the negative feedback and refunds within the 60 day window for ebay/PayPal.

A 9.6 Warp #1 sold for $276 (plus tax and shipping) yesterday on CL. This is a fairly strong price for a "reprint", is it not? But, there are very few on the census, with nine 9.6 and a lone 9.8. Keep in mind that the Warp #1 book was published (April 1979) about a year after debut Fantasy Quarterly 1 in spring 1978. Interestingly, the Warp #1 was also published after the Warp 2 and Warp #3, but folks do seem to love a number one!

Wendy and Richard Pini, creators of ElfQuest, met through the reader letters of Silver Surfer 5. Both were still teenagers at the time living on opposite coasts. They had a long distance correspondence spanning 4 years and eventually married in 1972. Wendy first worked as a sci-fi magazine artist, writer (and was one of the first cosplayers as Red Sonja - who even appeared on the Mike Sullivan show). Richard graduated from MIT with an astronomy degree and worked at the Boston Planetarium, then became a high school astronomy teacher, then worked for IBM until the ElfQuest endeavor became a full-time occupation for both Wendy and Richard, launching in 1978. The ElfQuest series is still going on with the release of "Stargazer's Hunt" next month (November 13th).
