    Hello Community,

What do you do to ensure you want have issues when working with unfamiliar international buyers?

This is not a time payment situation (not sure that matters) on a low 4 figure sale

    1. Does taking PP F&F make this riskier?

    2. Does it help you feel better when they have a populated CAF?  (It does for me)

    3. Any known people I should avoid - in this case from Italy?

    Thanks!

    Mark

I would ask them if they have dealers/collectors stateside that could vouch for them.

On a a separate but related topic, Avengers 158 cover is up!  One of the best covers Kirby did for Marvel in the '70s, possibly second only to FF200, IMHO.  Thoughts on final hammer price?

I agree. Definitely one of the very best 70's Kirby. The sky's the limit.

Wondering how you guys felt about making your own prints out of OA. Sometimes I see art (commissions mostly) and I’m in love but it’s either A. NFS or B. Out of my price range.

Recently I saw a painting from an artist on CAF(not a big name) but it was unaffordable, but I still really wanted it. So I saved the image and used the site EZprints.com to create a 12x18 print. Came out pretty good. I wondered if this was kind of “cheap move” though. I dont think its so bad as long as I am not selling the print or anything like that. Cost less than $20 to have made.

Anyone else ever do this? There’s a few more I’m thinking about doing. Am I being an A-hole? lol

Put yourself in the artist's shoes. How would you feel knowing someone made an unauthorized print of your hard work without any kind of payment?

Wow! The image is even more mysterious than the comment. Why did you want this piece in 2009? I am going to admit ignorance  about this piece.  Looks a bit like Kent William's- but what it is from (Blood?) and why someone would want it for so many years is still a bit of a puzzle wrapped up in an enigma. I dont think I could sleep if I knew this guy was in my house. :fear:  I am not even sure Jim D would have waited since 2009 for this? Let us know what makes this special so we can all appreciate it. If you want to that is.

I used to own this many years ago. It was done for a paint-by-numbers themed art show. Artists were given a thrift store paint by numbers piece and then they added to it. I used to have the James Jean one as well.
