  1. There's a cover-less copy of that book in the top right I have my eye on Good choices all around. edit: I'm wrong, disregard, wrong issue
  2. Wow...! You just made me realize that Sgt Fury from the war comics is actually Nick Fury from shield? I never put those two together before...I feel very dumb lol. That's a trip.
  3. 4 on the census, probably due to not being a particularly valuable book. Back of the book has a large section for various local stores to stamp their address/ads on which is fun (mines blank sadly). Also might be why they didnt use a normal cover (cover is same cheap newsprint as the pages within the book).
  4. What a fantastic cover. The more of these precode EC books I see, the more I can understand why Congress finally got involved. It feels like a bit of an arms race watching covers escolate leading up to 54, I wonder how far it would have gone without the Code. I'm finally getting my first EC book thanks to a recent sale, and can't wait. Thanks for sharing these covers!
  5. Based on my ebay acutions lost in the last 60 seconds (bot) of bidding, there stil seems to be solid demand for PCH. EC books are red hot right now.
  6. Hopefully this is the last purchase of the year. Saw this book in one of the threads on here, and had to hunt it down.
  7. The $1.25 to $1.50 jump is where I ended things. Early to mid 90's. Spider-Clone killed my interest in my favorite books, Captain America had already gone downhill, and Batman's 4 year knightfall/knightquest/funderal for a bat saga just slowly got old. Currently dropping about 5-8% of my income on comics, mostly ebay auctions when I see something I like. I don't buy new comics, I keep trying to get back in, but just don't find much to be interesting, and the books seem expensive at $4 each. Although a friend did lend me Saga, which seemed decent.
  8. Price is right rules, $100,061 :P But really, I'm thinking 94,000
  9. Although this book isn't like the normal sub-$100 silver and golden age books I've been trying to buy on ebay, a ton of auctions I've lost I lost in the last 20 seconds, when several people double the price (probably using some sort of bid sniper). Kinda curious to see if this one does a 20%+ jump in the last 60 seconds. The suspense!
  10. Sounds correct. Deadpool was not really popular at all at the time. I remember getting his mini-series in 50 cent bins shortly after it came out, and wondering why they even bothered (terrible story). I best remember him from X-Force #2, and not in a good way. One of my big surprises when I came back into comics after leaving in the mid 90's was that Deadpool was actually a popular character. Still kinda blows me away. Now that you mention Feral, I remember finding her much more interesting of a character at the time.
  11. One of my absolute favorites. Just a breath-taking cover. I'll add this up, since I've scrolled through most of this topic and havent seen it yet.
  12. Transformers 1? Gi Joe? What world is this, the 1980s?! Personally, i'm a fan of 2 indie books I don't see listed much. I, Lusipher 1, and Cry for Dawn 1.
