  1. The latest addition to my Fiction House collection:
  2. A recent Heritage win that arrived today. I put in a low-ball bid at the last minute and, to my surprise, won it at 75% of guide even after shipping and the vig:
  3. Action 1 for me too. Rarity, significance, GA, and a Zatara story.
  4. Action 2 for me. Tec 225 is a book I'd like to own, but I think it's overrated and overpriced.
  5. Because he was a bad- in the days before every hero had angst and a .45 or a sword at his hip. This was pre-Watchment, pre-Dark Knight Returns, and pre-Miller's revamp of the Punisher.
  6. After reading this thread, I'm considering adding a Planet or two to my Wondercon want-list...
  7. The more I see of Zolnerowich's work, the more I like it. He's like a bookend to Maurice Whitman who did lots of great work at the end of FH's life. You may be right about the visually stunning thing. And the innards aren't bad either, from the few I've read.
  8. girls in bubbles are cool As are girls outside of bubbles. most excellent point Thank you, sir.
  9. girls in bubbles are cool As are girls outside of bubbles.
  10. I'll take the 9.4 over the vegetable shill. I don't know about rarity on those.
  11. A recent Heritage win: I'm now down to 19 more Jumbos to complete the Sky Girl run. It's my 2009 goal.
  12. I didn't notice that at first, I was too busy looking at the sword arm This cover is But some of us have a reason to love it:
  13. Tec 1 over TOS 39. Iron Man Cap 1 over Tec 1. I'd rather get a restored Tec with some eye appeal, kind of like that one Ronaldo sold earlier this year. And any cover with Hitler getting it on the jaw is worthwhile.
  14. Batman 1. Grail book in high grade. First Joker and Catwoman trumps lame sidekick.
  15. I'll take the Atomic #1 simply due to the provenance. My choice was the Timely, despite the provenance. I think the popularity of the Timely book plus the better cover trumps Mr. Church's storage methods on this one.
  16. Tec 31 in a heartbeat. Great book all around.
  17. Mile High DC. I'm not terribly interested in either, but I'd prefer to own a DC at this point.
  18. Words fail me at the moment. But does Ciorac know you have his trashcan?
  19. Yup. Tec 3 for the rarity. And Slam Bradley.
  20. My vote is for Action 2. The 'Tec's spine is troublesome and the cover to Action 2 kicks @ss. No need for Superman on that one. Remember, back in 1938 there wasn't a legion of fan boys ready to wet their otaku undies whenever a superhero showed up on a comic book cover. Comics were capable of sustaining multiple genres back then.
  21. It's great for cleaning dirt and dust bunnies out of your computer. I did that recently and it ran much better.
