I think he would be VERY lucky to get 5k for the whole set. Most of the stuff will probably go for 10-20% of guide sold separately. Some of the higher numbered stuff he has at 3-5 bucks each MIGHT sell for 3-5 for 10 issues in an auction.

I'll try to get to it this week. I wonder if the retail oulet had somehing to do with it?

Hi All- Having seen my fair share of variants, I was wondering about something I noticed today. I had duplicate copies of Four Color 1196. The two copies had entirely different back covers. One was a story, not uncommon to Four Color. The othet had a toy gun advertisement of some sort. Anybody else noticed back cover variations in these comics?

Is your spreadsheet blind to grade? How many complete collections are knows to exist? I'd be curious to know? 4Gemworks-

Heads Up- J and S comics is selling a copy of FC (series 1) 18 and 19 on ebay. I bought these a couple of weeks ago (and returned them) and after receiving them noticed a number of defects, especially non color breaking creases, that I thought greatly reduced the grades below what was advertised. They are generally good graders, but these two are badly overgraded, in my opinion. So if you are looking at them consider yourself forwarned. Great copies if you are looking for something coser to Fine, however.

Unfortunately, having a "lot" of Four Colors does not always mean that much, when your target is 1300 give ot take. In my original collecting of ASM, I once talked to Josh Nathonson at ComicLink and asked him what I ought to be buying. He said stick with 9,4''s or better. I didn't exactly listen and it did nothing but cost me money. I might have upgraded a book 3-4 times before I finally ended up with the book I decided I could live with forever. The time spent sending money, listing, sending books is enough to use up virtually all your spare time. So I decided with the Four Colors that I would do it right to start with. I am trying to buy the best copy of any book I can to start with rather than buying a copy for the sake of having the number in my spreadsheet. I expect this is an endeavor that could take 5 to 10 years. Anyway, I'm not much for chat boards as it can easily become a time vacuum. Nevertheless, I do have a passion for this current endeavor and would be happy to help fill in holes for you as able and add to the discussion as able. Thanks- 1215 File Copy

Incidentally, have these pictures been organized in a single location , or does one simply need to puruse the prior 80 pages?

I checked against my list and found 47 that are not checked off. Some are being graded, but when I get a few minutes, and figure out how to do it, I'll upload a few pictures.

I assume the issues with a black mark are complte and the white issues needed? The red are "non-existant"?

Just out of curiosity, which covers are missing? I'm sure an avid follower of this string knows, but I've just recently run across it. Thanks-
