The 1:10 is not bad, this was out of a 7 for 10 pack, which seems like a sweet spot on price.

How old are those?
They just came out of a 7 for 10 pack I picked up last month. The packages inside were what I have been calling Generation 10 which originally came out in nov 2021

There is a thread on this already, I believe. I’ll see if I can locate it.
Many thanks, I tried searching for posts but did not have much luck.

So I am looking for conformation. I think that the Fleer Ultra trading card insert was only offered in the February Deluxe Direct Edition of the X-books, except for Uncanny X-men 321, which did have it in the Deluxe Newsstand version as well.
Cable Vol 1993 # 20 02/95
EXCALIBUR Vol 1988 #86 02/95
Generation X Vol 1994 #4
Uncanny X-men Vol 1982 #321 02/95
Wolverine Vol 1988 # 90 02/95
X-Factor Vol 1986 #111
X-Force Vol 1991 #43 02/95
X-Men Vol 1990 #41 02/95I am working with a limited set of data so if others have pics of the Newsstand copies with the cards, or the non deluxe direct editions with the card I would love to see em.

In the great 90s there was tons of trading card inserts like on Uncanny x-men 321. I was wondering how much the inserts missing affect the over all grade of the book? It does not affect the books readability, but technically it is no longer "Complete". Curious how CGC and how board members treat these books.

1st let me say, I appreciate this boards thorough research on this book. It sounds like everyone landed on Printing error.
I was lucky enough to find this odd looking book in a 1 bin. While it is maybe a 6-7 still seems to be worth a buck.

Found these at Wammy (what my youngest Grand Daughter called it) today. They had more,Moom Knight cover and a few different Star Wars covers. Will probably let these simmer for awhile.I like the price,7 for $10 but I have to wonder if the regular packs are slowing down in sales and they need to move books.Seen these once before a few years back but don't remember what was in them.Back of packs are plain.
Black Widow is Joe Jusko Masterpiece.Kang is second print.
They used to be 2 of the 3 packs zipped up together with a new book on top. I never seem to be able to find these anymore. The price point is good for what you get typically.

23-06-02 They are back again with the same sticker Spidy storm and iron man. For those tracking this is Gen 14a. It seems like they hit the shelves a little latter than usual. I was expecting them in May.

And now I see how it goes all the way back to the silver age. Checking the India of my oldest non encapsulated book X-men 17. I see that there was a subscription offer if you read the indica . You know kids loved reading the indica back in the 60's :-) Also it is interesting that the cost of the subscription back then was over cover cost. 1.75 for 12 issues, when the cost of the books were .12 retail. I guess that covered shipping, but still.

Marvel offered subscriptions in the Silver Age and advertised them thru the Copper Age, long before Mid-Town existed.
Thanks very much for the reply.
I can see how I worded this "Did they hand it off to Mid-Town Comics right away, or was there other distributors who took this over 1st?" that it was poor wording. I know Marvel did their own subscriptions for years. I was not aware it went all the way back to the silver age!
Any idea of when in the silver age they started doing this? I can see all the way back in x-men 92 1975-02 there were no ads for subscriptions. There was Marvel ads for other stuff like a Stan Lee Marvel history book but not subscriptions. The earliest book I can confirm a subscription ad for within Marvel is x-men 98 1976-04 which is well into the Bronze age. Funny thing is that as you can see from the picture, you could not even subscribe to the x-men comics from the ad in X-men comics.
According to Wikipedia, Mid-Town Comics was opened in 1997. I know Marvel still did their own subscriptions then. I was wondering on the above poorly worded question, if when Marvel stopped doing their own subscriptions, did they hand it off to Mid-Town Comics right away, or did they have another company do it, and then that company stopped and then Mid town toook over?
I always like learning about the history of Marvel Comics and comics in general.
-
So here is a historical question. What year did Marvel start running subscriptions?
When did Marvel stop fulfilling their own subscription?
Did they hand it off to Mid-Town Comics right away, or was there other distributors who took this over 1st?
I await the wisdom of the collective knowledge of the CGC Message boards :-)

not sure if there are rules against this for keeping out sales and ads
I have used collectorz dot com for a couple years and I am happy with the level of support and updates they provide. The web version and app version work great together.

How long will the CGC message board allow a thread bashing its service to stay open? I am grabbing my pop corn and stop watch.
Though for the record, I also am never using their pressing service again. Same issue with stained books coming in my grading notes on books that did not have stains. Also I now learned to take a spoon ton of pictures before I ship stuff out. Still looking for a good reasonably priced presser in Chicagoland where I can drop off my books and get them shipped to CGC.

So the Black Panther ,Black Widow and Venom/Carnage Heads I have been tracking as Generation 11 and 11a. 11 came out 02-22 and 11a which had the patch wolverine title you are showing came out 05/22. If memory serves the Wolverine was one of the books where per order the store got two copies of the 3 pack.
