  5. Figured, but had to ask. Nice looking copy, and good luck in your search!
  6. New pick up thanks to Badger. THANKS! Still need All Select #1, 4, Captain America #27, 33, Marvel Mystery #63. (And pieces from All Winners #21 and Marvel Mystery #52.)
  7. Great cover, and I love it as well! I just found a copy a couple of months ago, after looking for four years. The cover artist is Ken Bald, though, not Schomburg. https://www.comics.org/issue/7195/
  8. Hi all, Here's my updated Want List, which as you can see is heavily Timely. I'm posting in the WTB section, of course, but also wanted to post it here, since you're all Timely folks. Main wants: All Select #1 and 4, Captain America #28 and 33, Marvel Mystery #63 (and 52), and Namora #3. Thanks! Mike
  9. Speaking for myself, I tend to be mostly interested in TImelys of WWII vintage, with anti-Nazi covers (although there are exceptions). It is the trend though that Timely WWII covers in general are more sought after in the hobby, and thus have a higher value. If you look at sales in general, I think it shows that, so I'm not sure why anyone would "handcuff" you about it (although that does sound like the start of a Golden Age comic cover) – you can see what things sell for and do the math. I love my Human Torch #4, All Winners #19 and 21, and I'm looking for Namora #3, all non-WWII covers. But those Schomburg anti-Nazi covers get my blood moving. Anyhow, that's my take. Prob not everyone wold agree. (PS - Subby #14 is AWESOME! The only Subby I own.)
  10. Hey, all - posting this here, since it's all Timely folks – these are my Top Timely wants (plus Marvel Mystery #51), so if you have, please let me know. Maybe we can work something out. All Select #3, 4 Captain America #27 Marvel Mystery #52, 63 (+ #51) Namora #3 All the best, and stay safe and healthy, Mike
  11. Really awesome. Such an important historical artifact. Without the internet and such, information that reached the average person about what was happening in the concentration camps was minimal. Plus it looks like Cap is slicing that Nazi's head off, which is very satisfying. :^) Got a 0.5 missing the back cover a year or so. Felt lucky to get it. Congrats.
  12. Here's a pair 'o All Select #6. I was looking for a decent copy FOREVER, then got two at almost the same time! Hahahahaha Meanwhile, if anyone has Captain America #27 or 28, or Namora #3, let me know. I'm interested.
  13. It is so cool and so rare, but I guess it needs just the right person to give it a new home. I am open on price, so I guess we'll see.
  14. Yeah, it was a weird run, for sure. No surprise it wasn't the most successful business venture ever. :^)
  15. There were four of them total - this, Rigoletto, Faust, and Aida. Another odd thing is that the cover could be on white paper like this, or goldenrod (also with red and black ink)! It really looks strange!
  16. I found this some years ago, just got it slabbed now. The art inside is quite nice, and the printing is black and red, like the cover.
