Noob question but does anyone know when the Jim Lee signing will actually take place? The cut off was July 24th and I didn't see an update on Instagram.
Thanks.
The signings are normally weeks if not months out. The cutoff on Wolfman was mid April. Fast forward 4 months and I’m still waiting on it to be shipped back. Just never know.

How long was your Wolfman in GEI? Mine has been sitting for a bit.

Hi everyone!
Thanks for taking the time to click on this and for offering your opinion. I’m sending my IM 55 in for the Jim Starlin event. Was just curious as to what grade the board is thinking on this. I will be adding on pressing for the book. The main issue is the color breaking crease line that I’ve tried to provide a closeup of in pic #6.
Thanks again!

I usually do! Just I don't find it worth it anymore
Can't seem to see any folds in person. Idk if surface grade weighs that much but I would think it has to get a 2 or 3 on a subgrade to bring it down that much..
If the surface grade was a 2 or 3, you’d only get bumped up by 1 whole point above that as long as the other sub grades were at least 1.5 points higher. With it being a 6.5, process of elimination has to be surface damage from the looks of it.
The lowest centering can be is 8, the corners and edges look fine too. Sub grade on the surface is probably a 5.5 for whatever reason.

Found out in the wild at a small and rural comic shop. I did a double take as they had it in a glass display case. I was doing a comic crawl and definitely did not expect to see this.
***My hands were thoroughly washed before handling the book. This will also be the last time that I open this book up. I had to smell it!***

Thanks for the replies up to this point everyone. The ticks are why I’m on the fence about springing for a C&P. Guess it can’t hurt in hopes of a bump.

Going with a 9 after a C&P

I’m wondering where the cap is myself because of the split.

Awesome book! Initial reaction is 7.5/8.

4.5 is my gut reaction. Nice book!

Those aren't creases though...poster said they were tears.
I would be a bit surprised if a book with tears that large would grade that high. For me, I am at 4.5-5.0 because of the tears. If those were not present, this book is easily in the upper Fine, lower VF range.
I agree with your assessment that this would be in the lower VF range without the crease tears. Once slabbed though, this will present really nicely.

i would be in the range of 6.5 with those two large creases on the front cover.
I would be really happy to pull that grade.

That’s a crazy turnaround, especially with the press.
