My guess is movie hype, the mcu has hit after hit after hit and DC has..... well... not that many. Marvel is willing to take chances on obscure characters and DC is not. How can the company that owns the rights to Justice Society of America, Legion of Superheroes, Uncle Sam and the freedom fighters, The Question, Blue Beetle, Metamorpho, Brainiac, Hawkman etc etc still only focus on Harley Quinn, Suicide Squad and Batman? I mean thank god we at least get Aquaman and Wonder Woman. To marvels credit , when they bring a character to life on the big screen, you really can’t imagine anyone else playing that character, not in all cases but most. I will say this, you will see a much larger return with DC keys, if/when Warner brothers get their act together. Hopefully in my lifetime 🙏🏾.

I have purchased several copies including variants of future state Wonder Woman 1, I have purchased several copies including the LCSD edition of Dc nation presents future state, I also have two copies of Wonder Woman annual 4. Only to find out that DARK NIGHTS DEATH METAL #7 might be the book to have for first future State appearances. I swear I have purchased every book I could think of to have her first appearance and I’m exhausted lol. I really do think she will be someone special, character wise and profit wise.

Not a single Dc label smh a shame.

If you don’t mind sharing, what is the story?

I was thinking of collecting marvel books, I have never purchased a single marvel comic, key or otherwise, in my life. I enjoy DC but I am tempted to join the dark side.

Don’t mean to beat a dead horse but even in the case of Yara Flor? She’s getting her own show, seems to be popular. I remember I asked Jennifer and she said that the graders are waiting for all the books to be released first or something. Any more insight would be helpful.

Hopefully when I send my copies in they will. Imagine selling a package deal of 23( 1st appearance out of continuity) , TT1( 1st appearance in continuity) and finally this TT2 variant above. It would be like printing money.

Dude I’m tell you this red x hype ain’t stopping, mid grade copies are reaching 100 bucks now with higher grades staying above 140, it’s only matter of time until it reaches 200. But like you said a 9.8 will probably go for 1k. Especially if CGC change the label. Also imo if you don’t buy this book before future state it’s gonna cost you, more information is coming out about the event showing Red X partnering with Nightwing. Also keep your eye on this Teen Titans 2 Variant :

Yeah I could careless either way. I was just joking about the fact that her character might be written out of BP2 , if the movie will happen at all. And that all those people who rushed to buy her first appearance might be out luck when the price drops. I’m not influenced by the opinions of celebrities, left or right, especially not from America.

So all hell is breaking loose over her statements, I’m not here to get political or to agree or disagree, all I’m gonna say is, I’m glad I didn’t drop hundreds on her first appearance. 😂😂

Might be time to get in on the ground floor

Seems like Red X is soaring, is this the beginning of another Batman Beyond 1? Obscure, unofficial first appearance in a kids comic, beloved character from a hit animated early 00’s tv show, cool costume, connected in some form to Batman. Would probably transfer well to either the big or small screen. And only 1 CGC copy graded, a 9.8.

This is a pretty amazing read. I just wanted to thank you for preserving the books for another generation, I’m 25. I started collecting again this year, my wife (29), supports me and is willing to try collecting herself. My daughter (15 months), smiles when I read her Superman comics and can point him out on the page, so maybe she’ll be a comic lover too . Either way, with being young even copper age seem like history to me let alone , bronze, silver or gold. And those books wouldn’t be available to me if good stewards such as yourself didn’t love and care for them when you did. So even if your thrill is gone a new generation is waiting to pick up the torch 👊🏾.

I wonder how much more it will go for if cgc put Yara’s first cover appearance on the label, especially the one per store black boarder edition 👀

Is Teen Titans Go # 23(2005) the first appearance of Red X or will it be Future State Teen Titans 1(2021)? I ask this because he was a robot in TT23 and DC is claiming TT1 to be Red X first appearance.

What is the highest grade this book will get?
