To be honest, due to the fact that the book was shipped media mail, it's a small amount, and it appears the seller did not do anything wrong, I would just let it go.
That was actually my thought as well. I guess I wanted to be sure I wasn't being naive about it.

So I recently bought a book off of eBay - it's nothing special, just an older ASM Annual that cost about $12 or so. Seller shipped it via media mail with tracking, and the tracking info says it was delivered 2 weeks ago. Problem is, I never got it. I submitted a "missing mail" request with USPS, but so far nothing. I'm assuming it was delivered to a nearby building, but it's an office park so there's not just one or two people to check with to see if they got it by mistake.
The seller has been understanding and we've been in contact about it, but I think we're at a point where the book is just not going to get to me.
What should my path be here? Since I never received the book I should be due a refund, but according to the info the seller has the book was delivered. There was no insurance on the book, so he can't get his money back from the USPS, so no matter what I think at least one of us is screwed. If he won't issue a refund, who will eBay side with on this one? I feel like the delivered status on the tracking is going to be a problem for me.
Any advice?

I lost all my silver age ASM to flooding so I doubt I will ever go for those again but 100-up and the keys there are very doable (except 101 LOL). That is my collecting focus anyway. The 101 in high grade is beyond my reach at this point so my focus may change to 102-UP LOL.
If you think 101 is up there, wait 'til you try and get 129 in decent condition. Yikes.

I bid with 5 seconds left. Reason is that it prevents me from getting caught in a bidding war. I figure out what my top bid will be. Enter it and either i win or dont. But it does not give me time to bid again and go over what i planned.
I agree, and I thought that was commonly known as the only way to bid on ebay. I'm always surprised when I see people bidding an item up with days to go in the auction.

Marvel cinematic universe is only related to disney than?
MCU refers to specific movies, not just any movie based on Marvel properties. See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_Cinematic_Universe

I think it being an unexpected find makes it all the more exciting as well. I was really hoping to just come away with some of the more recent issues that I'm missing (which I did), and came prepared with cash just in case I came across a 101 or maybe even a 129. Never even considered that there'd be single digit issues. They also had 5, but I figured I'd go for the first Lizard before picking up that one.
I think I'm lucky they aren't my LCS, because I'd be super broke pretty quick.

Traveling on business right now and decided to stop into a couple of local comic shops. Went to one of the nicest shops I've ever seen, but their back catalog was mostly unexciting. They had a lot, but not a lot of high-end issues/keys. I did manage to pick up the 9/11 tribute issue. But then I went down the street to a much smaller shop, and holy mess did I feel like I hit the jackpot. They had a ton of early Spidey, and I picked up a couple. Both are low grade, but I was happy to add them to my collection:
Not a huge fan of having so much tape on #6, but I couldn't pass up the price and now it's the earliest issue I own.

I have a different USPS problem - I bought a book from eBay that the tracking shows as being delivered, only I never got it. Going back and forth with the seller now over trying to see if we can locate it. I was hoping that it was delivered to a neighboring building by mistake, but it's been 4 days now and no one has brought it by...

How do you know these are UV protecting? It does not say anything about that on the product page link provided. Thanks!
If you select the "Material Type" drop down, UV Resistant is a $20 option.

Anyone ever used an HP OfficeJet MFP for scanning slabs? I have access to 2 of them at my office (an M725 and M775) that I'd like to use if they can do the job.

I like the Spider-Man watermark on the label, but other than that I agree it's pretty distracting. Plus I hate knowing that the Red Goblin is behind the hologram sticker - they should have kept it simple.

I'm considering a press to hopefully get it to the 5 range, but I'm not sure how much it would help since most of the issues are color breaking. Still, I'm happy with the overall look of the cover.

I'm not gonna bother trying to grade it, I'm a newb. However, I do wonder how much you payed for this. My LCS had a lower grade copy for $80.
I paid $70

That's not how it works. You have a theory, *you* have to prove it. Good luck with that, though...

Grab a raw copy and tell me what's printed on the inside front cover...better yet, take a picture.
I have a sneaking suspicion. I just encountered this same exact thing on a couple of copies, and rejected them for a 9.8 pre-screen because of it...
So the Cloak and Dagger ad is causing it? I can check my raw copy when I get home, but it looks like it lines up with the picture @Get Marwood & I posted.

Had the same thing happen to me, only I was the buyer. Problem is that I want to keep the book, so I reached out to the seller to see if USPS insurance would cover the damage. A CGC reholder is only $15, but with fees and shipping it can be a lot more than that. If I can just get the $15 I'll be happy, but so far I haven't heard anything from the seller...

I recently received a copy of Web of Spider-Man #1 from a friend, and it is in great condition except for what looks like a sun shadow on the cover. It looks like it sat on a shelf partially covered, so that the left side and bottom were exposed and had their colors affected. Then I started looking at some of the scans of others for sale online and they seem to have the same issue. Here's a CGC 9.8 with the same "sun shadow" pointed out:
So was this something that happened at printing? There's no way that so many copies could have this issue as a coincidence, and there has to be a reason that CGC would grade it as a 9.8 with it present, but I can't find any information about it. And are there copies without it?

I think the speculation is that she is going to be in the next Into the Spider-Verse film, which is way more likely than her being in the live action movies.
