Hollywood1892 reacted to Moondog in X-Men 1 Double Cover
An old friend sent this image of his X-Men 1 double cover. I think it's one of the coolest books I've ever seen. Anyone know of other major keys with double covers?

Hey James!
I was going to text you last night and ended up crashing. It was now or never! But let me know when you want to give up your 3.0 so I can upgrade .

Good thing I’m not a parent. Well, I have a fur baby, but she’s cool with it.

Hollywood1892 reacted to Scott W. Harris in Unusual Slab Damage
I just bought my 5 CGC slab from Ebay and there seems to be some type of moisture in-between the outer slab and the inner plastic sleeve. You can look at the photo and see the moisture in the light and on Jordan's chest area. There doesnt appear to be any damage to the book so i'm guessing I just send it into CGC for a new slab or for them to properly clean it?

I never label any package as fragile...in my warped mind, that's just an invitation for abuse...

Hollywood1892 reacted to Joanna in Favorite seller condition dodges
I love it when a seller gives you all the information, but spins it in such a way as to make it seem better. Heck, we all do what we can to make the books desirable, and as long as all the info is there, what's the harm? Here's one I found today that I liked:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=723975011
My favorite part (other than the title where he gives book value in NM) "The grade of this book (sans water stain) is FN (6.0)!" Wonder what the grade would be without any of the flaws? Why stop at one? And just to confuse things, use a little French in case some people think 'sans' means 'with'.

So if suddenly a person arose that waged war against the shipping services would that person be a superhero or villain? And what would their costume look like?

Great now I gotta find "Please do not set monkey wrenches on" stickers

Conveyer belts, shipping containers, and machine sorters don't care what your "fragile" label says... neither does the box of loosely packed monkey wrenches sitting on top of your precious comic.

The packing inside *definitely* matters. Last week I received a $900 raw book in a Priority Mail Flat Rate box that had been crushed like a bug. Thankfully it was cardboard-sandwiched with STURDY cardboard inside. (A shout out to Worldwide Comics for secure packaging. Well done!)
