  1. krazykat. was he banned or just left?
  2. I believe the no barcode version is the direct market edition.. What I was referring to is the way the price is listed. One has 1.25, the other has 3 prices for Canada and the UK also. I wish they were mine. I yanked the images from the thread in the earlier pages.
  3. So aren't one of these a price variant or Canadian edition or something?
  4. Well, I think it's because he shills them. (BTW- Somewhat ironic posting for you to make, one post after calling out folks as "clueless". A bit of tact could be in order). If what is on his Ebay page is on Ebay's website, then why does he feel the need to repost it? On an aside, it's entirely possible he hasn't updated his MY page in ages, back when IDs weren't scrambled. And again ... how would I know? And who cares, really? I wrote my post to clear up the misconceptions about ebay that you seemed intent on focusing on - if you have a problem with being labelled clueless, perhaps you should spend some time using ebay so, in the future, you'd actually know what you're talking about? If making one post in commentary is your definition of "focusing on" it, then you are correct, I focused on it. Secondly, I'm aware that ebay "scrambles" IDs (not fully, it must be said. So no, not entirely "anonymous"). I thought he was referring to some other type of scrambling I'm not aware of. I wasn't aware that the text on his page was the same given by Ebay. Your initial reply, and your reply here are both a little harsh. Again, it was a misunderstanding. You could have just mentioned that the text on his Ebay page is found elsewhere on Ebay (like someone else did just now) and avoid the ad hominems.
  5. This incident is one of those rare cases where the two-sided story actually makes the person look a lot worse than the one-sided story...

  7. Actually, the fact he took the time to come after me makes me think it's really him! (OMG, can it really be??). So Nuffsaid, why didn't you choose to reply to this other post of mine? Is it because it's true?? There's no question that Nuffsaid is acting like a total person_who_is_obnoxiously_self-impressed here, but the references to his ebay "MY" page and his ebay feedback just make the people posting about it seem clueless as to how ebay actually works. 1) eBay is the one that scrambles the names of bidders on auctions - the paragraph he has on his "MY" page is lifted directly from the ebay help page, explaining why this happens. It's got nothing to do with Nuff Said. 2) 10 negs in a year for a powerseller on eBay is nothing out of the ordinary. If you deal in volume, you're going to run into problems - sometimes those problems can be solved, sometimes they can't. His feedback could definitely be better, but claiming it's insanely bad is erroneous. Any powerseller that you run through toolhaus.org is going to look like a crook - that's just how it is. That's fine. But can you explain why nuffsaid didn't challenge my suggestion that he shills his own auctions?
  8. I think nuffsaid's name address telephone number should be listed in this thread.

  10. Speaking of bad feedback (which nuffsaid certainly has), check this one out: http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=alisher71&Dirn=Received+by
  11. He probably shills his auctions too. From his Ebay "MY" page: To protect bidder privacy, when the price or highest bid on an item reaches or exceeds a certain level, User IDs will be displayed as anonymous names. For auction items, a bold price means at least one bid has been received. Note: Anonymous names may appear more than once and may represent different bidders.
  12. can we see a closer pic of the Supes 2?
  13. i'll take a HG early Church action any day of the week.
  14. well- i'll think about this one later, but for now... i'll take column 1 first.

  18. i don't exactly follow. i gather the following timeline: Advertisement 1970s --> Jack Mallette ownership --> Gary Colabuono ownership 1992 --> 2002 Mastronet Auction was Gary the person who had seller's remorse? did u own the book at some point?
  19. i'm not sure if this is what you're trying to do, but i don't think u have to defend ur collecting habits to ANYONE Mr. Levine. ur goal was to collect every DC ever produced. the fact that u actually managed to accomplish this almost-unfathomable task speaks of itself.
  20. curious ACME what's on your want-list? i imagine a tec'27 maybe?
  21. ahh... so ur the buyer of the supes 1 ep 9.0 nice pickup btw - that's the best "SUPERPAK" (ala Bonds..hehe) picture we've seen here by anyone not named Ian Levine.
  22. The Simpsons: Three Men And A Comic Book (episode 34) Originally aired: Thursday May 9, 1991 on FOX Bart becomes obsessed with buying the first issue of Radioactive Man, but can't scrape together the $100 he needs to make it his own. So, he gets small jobs selling lemonade and illegally, beer. Then he gets hired to work for Mrs. Glick, the old lady down the street and only gets 50 cents for his efforts. So his total is only $35. Enlisting Milhouse and Martin Prince, Bart is finally able to buy the comic, even though he only possesses one third of it. But things get hairy when none of them can decide who gets to keep it or for how long. The three enter into a dangerous confrontation that threatens to destroy not only their precious investment, but their friendships as well.
  23. In one of the Board's more historical great feats (back in the eBay vigilante days ala Rickdogg), Mushroom and I were contacted by the Boards (specifically Tomega) about fradulent auctions we bid on and won. (to those that don't follow, you know how every 1-2 days there is a discussion on some purported fradulent comic auction on ebay - well 3 years ago Mushroom and I were among 20 would-be buyers of HG SA books on ebay. the auctions were discussed at length for a week on these boards, until the auctions closed. the consensus was that the auctions were fradulent. tomega emailed us telling us so, and told us about the boards. of the 20 or so auction "winners", i believe only Mush and I ended up joining the boards...) Thus was the rustysstarwars saga.
  24. hard to believe both of these are a 3.0...
