I was also surprised at the price. I bought this one a while ago, so perhaps that is why I didn't think it was it that desirable. I find it desirable. Ken

"Rolled me" usually means seduced him, went to his room and ended up stealing his valuables. Ken

I'm starting to wonder if this one is as rare as advertised. I thought there were only two extant, but just one the boards here, we've got at least three. Yes, but I only know of those three, plus one more- that copy that sold for about $700. on eBay last August, remember? Here's the census I've been keeping on this book: RICK STARR'S copy, my copy (which is the Crippen copy), the one that sold on eBay last Aug., and another copy owned by a member of the Yahoo Romance group (he sent me a scan, years ago). Those are the only four I've been able to confirm. Anyone else have one? I have a short box full of this issue. I'll try to scan them when I get a chance. Ken

Doorway looks a little small in relation to the guy but the perspective on the people looks ok to me. Maybe that's just my perspective. Ken

My TR 33 from that collection is pretty clean. I think the grade was hammered because of a very light moisture stain on the interior back cover. That being said, I would rather have back cover issues than front. Beautiful book John. Ken

Craig, Great story. I would also love to hear more about the person who originally bought the books and how they were stored, etc. if you are so inclined. Would you consider having certificates printed to accompany each book? Seems worthy for a collection like this. Ken

I wonder if he thought about trying to get a pedigree designation from CGC? Seems as if it would have been merited. I was thinking the same thing. Or at least certificates to show that each book came from the collection. Ken

A beautiful copy. Is this from the Sixth St. collection? Some fantastic Baker romance books surfaced from this recent collection. I just picked up the GCE # 13. Still some books available. I picked up a couple as well. The guy selling them on eBay is asking some pretty strong prices, though. Yes, from that collection. Amazing books and the cover on this one really grabs me. Did either of you crack them out?

Here's a recent purchase. Really love the coloring and composition on this cover. As usual, my scanner washes out the color but in person they are very deep. Ken
