Yeah, I’m not sure how they did it. I think one of the foils is mislabeled on the census, but no idea if that’s the limit 50 or 100. Is that what numbers were for the two covers? It’s been so long.
I guess I’ll find out what I got in a couple days.
The Finch foil was limited to 100 copies (lies!). The Montes foil was limited to 50 copies (lies!).
And not everyone would have ordered theirs with the additional CGC option.
We will also be receiving an additional foil copy with our CGC books for free. -

There is a way to tell: Other sellers have it for much less.
That is an assumption.
Just because other sellers have it for less and an auction is above your threshold does not mean they are scamming the system.
I'd rather deal with facts and not conspiracy theories. Show facts or it probably is not happening outside of your own little perspective.

Another shilled auction, same seller as before: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Year-Of-The-Villain-Hell-Arisen-3-CGC-9-8-Cover-A-1st-Full-Punchline-Pre-Order/193347939600?hash=item2d046f6d10:g:wZIAAOSwUrZeSEH2
No actual way to tell.
But right now it's over $300. -

Don't "invest" in comics. 7.0ish IMO.
Invest can mean different things to different people.
Anyone who has a collection has invested in comics. Speculation is different. Don't speculate on comics or you'll more than likely get burned. -

Are those moisture marks around the bottom of the back cover, or just dirt?
I'll find out when it arrives in a couple of days. The auction claimed the biggest issue was the miswrap and made no claim of moisture.
The back was my main concern grade wise. But should be worth it as long as there is no moisture damage present.
-
Bought this off eBay for less than forty bucks (shipped) in auction and was wondering what the grade could be as is. It has a miswrap and looks like it could use a bit of pressing from the look of it.
Thoughts on if this was a good investment and what it might grade at?

If I were selling a book that had been pressed, I don't see any reason why I would tell you (even if you did ask).
-
CGC is going to take more time to get it, and to get it back, than eBay/PayPal allows on claiming "not as described".
I've won these types of cases in the past.

Dang it, I missed this. Didn't even hear about it until it was too late. Guess I'll have to seek out a facilitator to help me pick up copies from his booth. :\
There are still a few signed sets left @ $125 plus shipping.

Thanks! Just going through the huge collection of my dad's that I grabbed after he passed.
These were in several boxes in a shed. -

How did the back come out, did any of that get cleaned off?
Still waiting on it. USPS certified mail is slow.
UPS would have been here within 2 days after shipping. -

6.5 IMO.
Do you think that crease may have a shot at being pressed out? You have to get up close to even see it.
It somewhat breaks color... this is one of those Iffish press books from my perspective. -

My copy finally arrived and I'm told the free foil books are being shipped out next week now that everybody should have received their CGC order.
I've already listed my CGC SS 9.8 #8/100 on eBay with a starting bid of .99 and we'll see what the real interest is in the series.
There are only 34 CGC SS 9.8s. There won't be any more.
