  1. A nice pair of MF's that look good together.......
  2. Here's my one and only pedigree book which I'm actually attempting to part with at the moment, but nobody wants it... For a 3.0, it's da bomb!
  3. I agree... I would take the AA16 every day of the week, every week of the month, and every month of the year.
  4. What was the condition prior to resto? BTW, beautiful book!!!
  5. A very presentable 3.0 (thumbs u Thanks Shane, my "comics and coins" buddy. (thumbs u
  6. Lower grade copy but a very tough book and I love this pedigree...
  7. Got this one coming next week... There are no Unrestored copies graded higher, which is surprising to me.
  8. My favorite of all the MMC Angel covers is definitely the #8. I think back when these books were first on the news stands and the kids running up to check out the newest issue. I can only imagine that kids at the time absolutely loved that two-ton monster and that freaky four-armed goon. I also like the aesthetics of the all yellow cover. The fact that it also has decent sized shots of Torch and Subby is definitely a plus also.
  9. They are both lame covers, so if I had to choose I guess I would go with the higher grade. well, i'm bleeding from the eyes, as it took alot of gerber work, but i did finally get to the bottom of it: if mystic 1's cover is lame, that means there are 17 non-lame d.c. covers, globally. silver age included. And fourteen of those are only equally as good as the Mystic. Thanks for doing all the heavy lifting Billy. My eyes couldn't have taken it! Then that would mean there are 276 DC covers that are not as lame as the Marvel 8. I'll go with that. The Mystic 1 cover is considerably less lame than that horrible Marvel 8 though. That's why I chose it. (thumbs u A very telling statement Ciorac. The cover of Marvel 8 is unique in the fact that only the very intelligent appreciate its awesomeness... If you don't like that... If that's true, then why do you like it? Ouch! Below the belt and the referee takes a point away.

I absolutely agree. I think the MMC8 is a great cover and even better story inside of the part 1 meeting/brawl between two great characters.
  11. They are both lame covers, so if I had to choose I guess I would go with the higher grade. That's funny, that's exactly how I feel about the Tec 35 cover, but I guess beauty in in the eye of the beholder.
  12. Which one would you choose, and why ? Marvel Mystery Comics #8 (1940) CGC Universal 3.5 or Mystic Comics #1 (1940) CGC Universal 5.0
  13. Beautiful Steve, just beautiful. Awesome. that MMC4 cover!
  14. wow PF, that is a beaut! rick These MMC covers are definitely some of the best GA covers in the hobby.
  15. Ya gotta know which well's to drop your pail into... some are are still quite liquid.
  16. Larson MMC#5 for me. Love those others books but I would slowly acquire each of them over time for the same reasons Rick mentioned. SS and I are on the same page!... rick I must be on a different page, but we're all in the same book.
  17. wise choice, remember, it doesn't matter what we think, it is what you thing! True Rick, but I certainly respect and like to hear what other collectors think.
  18. I'll be sticking with my six. In fact, I'll be soon adding a seventh.
  19. Here's a choice to make... Marvel Mystery Comics #5 CGC Universal 8.0 or these six books...
  20. I'd pay more, and I too hope he's reading this...
  21. absolutely positively 100%. Not even a contest for me on either of the two choices. You are wise, grasshoper!
