  1. Just bought a CGC 3.0 book from eBay. Book was packed very carefully in a oversize box with peanuts. Despite that it received the ol’ shaken comic syndrome courtesy of USPS and received a staple tear at the lower staple to the back cover. Front cover already had a slight tear which very slightly increased it. Now I know it’s hard to quantify the value of the damage but obviously damage has occurred. So I’m reaching out to y’all. Is the book still a 3.0? Should I return the book? Or should ask for a discount?
  2. Did X-Men 1 already get pressed before slabbing?
  3. Bought an X-Men 2 via paypal friends and family. Super fast shipping, trusted seller for sure.
  4. I concur Kevin76. Missed out on Killua's FF1 just the other day by probably 3 seconds. Definitely want an AF 15 as well as prices seem to be declining a bit, might be a good time to buy low and sell high.
  5. Great advice. Everyone hopes to be optimistic, but in reality we all can't win as what goes up must come down. Agree to not put all eggs in one basket. I'm diversified with common stocks, real estate rental, savings account, and now comic books. I might pass on Hulk for now, there might not be much action for him in Marvel's phase 4, but who knows?
  6. Shoot got beat out by a second. Should have never searched for that emoji!
  7. Ok, understood. It just seems so different as it's something you can't go thru. For example a collector's car you can sit in, a nice watch you can wear etc. But I guess that's the nature of this hobby, along with sports cards, coins, they are worth more in a protected case knowing they are secured.
  8. Why are so many collectors obsessed with collecting white pages and paying a premium for them? I mean they are encapsulated in a CGC slab and most likely will never get cracked to read or admire the white pages. So why the obsession?
  9. Well, I’m actually buying for their college fund as an investment. My wife thinks I’m crazy! Got two kids aged 2 and 1, and I hopefully feel that comics still got room to grow. I do love both book covers, comic art is still not appreciated enough by the general public. I plan on reading the classics online but am definitely interested in investment potential.
  10. Whoops I made a typo, the price was $24,500 for the Hulk 1. Does that change anything?
  11. I’m entertaining the Purchase of either Hulk 1CGC 6.0 for $24,500 or TOS 39 CGC 7.5 for $18.5k. First question, Are these pretty good deals? Second question, which one would you rather get in terms of investment? Thanks for the advice. I’m still relatively new to the hobby.
  12. I sent Nik $10k+ thru PayPal F&F and got my comics the next day. Now that's someone you can trust!
