  1. ASM 13 CGC 9.2 WHITE pages $8250. I used a photoScan app on my phone (to reduce glare) so the case looks a little distorted, but in reality its perfectly fine.
  2. Rules •Payment via PayPal, money order, check, or bank transfer •Ship to North America only •Shipping is included in the price. •First claim wins despite any ongoing negotiations •No probies or HOSers. •No returns since graded Kudos thread here:
  3. Tried giving you an offer on FF2, it says you cannot receive messages?
  4. Honestly, I was trying to avoid calling him out because benefit of the doubt, he says he got bamboozled from another seller who runs a website. I'll definitely give Matt props for accepting a fair price and refunding the money, and even coming on here to fess his mistake. I'll leave it up to Mattleahy if he wants to reveal who sold him the book originally.
  5. Bought a FF 48 from him. Nice communication, very fair pricing. Trustworthy individual!
  6. New to these boards and been purchasing books and hopefully selling some soon. I do have 2500+ positive feedback buying and selling on Ebay Please add feedback and thanks much for your business!
  7. Great fair pricing. Trustworthy individual, would definitely do business with again!
  8. Thanks for all the advice everyone! As you can probably guess by my post count, I'm a noob as I've only been collecting for a few months now. Been buying 95% slabbed CGC books (about 40 accumulated now) with a few raw books here and there. Saw this ASM 14 for sale on a facebook group and thought it was a pretty good looking book and I believed the guy when he said his phone takes crappy pics. I'll give some benefit of the doubt to the seller, as he says he did not know about any of the defects either. Obviously I don't have the experience yet to pick out defects, but I definitely have learned in the past to do all my transactions with Paypal G&S (which I did) in order to protect myself in case situations like this arise.
  9. Nothing was disclosed. I had asked for better pics but seller blamed a crappy cell phone camera. 1st photo : sellers pic 2nd and 3rd photo : my pics
  10. So I purchased a raw ASM 14 and received it in the mail today. I do believe the previous owner had it pressed as it was nice and flat in the bag. So I open to inspect it and immediately notice that the front cover is sticking to the first page and back cover is sticking to the back page as well. I forced it a little more open. Did the pressing do this? Or did someone previously try to glue the cover on? Notice there are some suspicious spots along the spine that I circled. Maybe glue? How does this affect value? Is this normal from pressing? If it’s glue, will it lead to PLOD if I send to CGC? Or should I return it to the seller? Help much appreciated! 1st photo is front cover and first page still slightly stuck together. Suspicious spots marked. 2nd photo pressed where it’s still stuck together 3rd photo back page suspicious spots 4th photo back page still stuck to back cover
  11. Not sure if you read my post fully. But shipping is on the onus of the seller. It's the sellers duty to get the product to the buyer in good condition. So why would I have to pay for insurance? Buyers should never buy shipping insurance. The seller has the option to ensure their shipment to make sure it arrive safely to protect them from loss or damage.
  12. Bumping this thread back up because the struggle is real with SCS. Received this Incredible Hulk 377 third printing book today. Book slid during shipping and got smooshed into the interior holder resulting in damaged pages. I bought this from a private seller elsewhere and he simply refused to acknowledge that any damaged could have occurred during shipping. Um, well damage obviously occurred here...have we not seen vids all over the internet of handlers throwing around packages? Sh#t happens. Anyways, if you can, I'd advise to pay with Paypal G&S because that's where I'm having to take my case to as the seller is calling me a fraud for making up the damage. Wow. Oh and this is my second case of SCS. First case, I purchased a Showcase #30 Aquaman book off eBay and the staples popped off during shipping. Seller refused to acknowledge how this could happen either. Had to open a dispute there as well. In almost all cases, the buyer should be expected to win, as it's always the sellers responsibility to ensure that the item arrives in good condition.
  13. I've already got a 6.0, but at this price it made me very hard to resist!
  14. Ok, so I'm looked around but couldn't find how to search for users. How do I contact joeypost? Thanks so much Punisherx3
  15. Man, I would be tempted to break open that slab and sell it raw. Must have had a grader that hates Punisher or something.
  16. Thank you oldrover and davet75 for the thorough reply. I'm gonna send it in to joeypost once I get a few other books that I need pressed as well. I'm gonna hope for the best.
  17. This makes sense logically. But, have you had difficulty in the past selling a nice looking 2.5 for a premium price? I mean I would think it would be hard to find buyers to pay say 3.5 price for a 2.5 am I correct?
  18. Right that is exactly what I am asking. Like this Avengers 1 that was just purchased, will it be worth less than other CGC 5.5's because of the faded cover? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Avengers-1-Cgc-5-5-First-Appearance-The-Avengers-Freshly-graded/264230915683?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
  19. So when buying the same grade CGC book, like 4.0 vs 4.0, obvuiously I try to look for nicer covers with whiter pages or “Something that presents well.” But overall, is there a major price difference within the grade? Reason I ask, I’m thinking about buying a major key Daredevil #1 that is very faded. It’s graded 2.0. Would it be worth less in that CGC grade and would I have a harder time selling it at that grade’s price point ? Thanks!
  20. Hi everybody! So I am new to the hobby and just started collecting last month. I bought this locally from a guy for $600 on Craigslist and was intending on pressing it. However, there was a stain on Punisher's chest and a little bit to the left of it. Being a Type A person (a clean place for everything and everything in its clean place), I looked up how to clean comic book covers and several sites said to never wet clean and to only dry clean. As suggested I started with a used fabric softener sheet which did absolutely nothing, and then a dry cellulose sponge which took off some of it, then I moved onto a pencil eraser. Apparently, I scrubbed way too hard with the eraser and it took off some of the yellow color. Obviously a huge blunder made, now I'm kicking myself in the butt. I was thinking of sending it into joeypost for press and onto CGC. (Didin't know joeypost cleans it when I started collecting last month) But, should I even send it into press and grade at this point? How does CGC grade color loss? Did I already lose money on the deal? Pics are after my blunder.
