I contacted the seller about the stickers he told me that he did not have them, but he did have this set of You'll die laughing cards for about $50. Bargain or not?
These are 1973 Creature Feature YDL cards. Are you showing all the cards he is selling? What you have is a mixture of cards from set #1 (1-64) and set #2 (65-128). The numbers are on the backs. The pictures are kinda blurry, but most look pretty nice. There are a lot of rounded corners, though. Cards with nice sharp corners and fairly good centering are around $5-6. Those really rounded ones, maybe a buck?

As for James Mason why he couldn't hurt a fly.
Tell that to all the sailors he drowned!

He was much more sinister in the Hitchcock movie
I wouldn't exactly call him "sinister". I mean, he was the head of whatever fake name they used for "C.I.A.", so he was all stealthy and tricky and such. You're not confusing him with James Mason's bad guy, are you?

Leo G Carroll Mr Waverly himself from the U.N.C.L.E tv series.
I always wondered if he got that part because he played a similar character in North by Northwest?

Thanks Mike!! you, Maurice and Gnasher are like human encyclopedias of horror knowledge
If there is something I know something about, it's '50s sci-fi movies, but, that doesn't mean I know everything about '50s sci-fi.

I received a very nice package from Ebay today and I would like to share it with the thread readers. First up is a 1st edition of Creepshow with a Jack Kamen cover and the interior by Berni Wrightson, secondly a complete set of Creature features from 1966 mint and they only cost about $20!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great card set! It's from 1980, though. 2 of those cards are from a different set. Did you get the sticker set, too?
22 stickers. 13 of the portraits and 9 of the poster ones.
Plus four different wrappers.
And the backs of 10 stickers makes a Creature puzzle.

It was a feature film. I thought it was pretty good, despite the oddball premise.

I just seen these on Ebay and thought that they were very unusual as they are from 1965 and monster related.
The fronts of the cards feature illustrations by Robert Crumb.

Here are some more cool Monster squad collectables. I'm sure Mick Scott would love the UK variant 7" vinyl

Not the real Creature.

Good overview of 1943 here.
4.5 stars!? He sure liked it more than I do! I might give it a 3 because of the Technicolor?

Good article here.
Phantom of the Opera: Which is the better Universal monster movie? 1925 vs. 1943
Easy! The '25 (or '29). Chaney was the best Phantom!
My favorite criticism about the '43 (Rains) version, was "Too much opera, not enough Phantom."

These were posted on another forum on classic horror but I thought that @Mike Scott would enjoy seeing them, I expect a lot of drooling especially for that giant marquee figure. Heck I would love the life size figure myself.
Why is the Creature in the bottom photo wearing a skirt?
Is that The Munsters "Uncle Gilbert" in the middle photo?

Julie did one of the worst "trip and falls" of any damsel fleeing a monster that ever was. She was on the ground before she made it half a step!

The sleek design provided a perfect suit for Ricou Browning to perform his underwater ballet and for Ben Chapman in the extreme close ups on land I don't think that there's ever been or will be a classic monster that has achieved that level of success.
The only monster suit of it's day that still (would) holds up today! They might put some animatronics in, today, but they're not really needed.

. . and what about the Creature head molding being only one of three in the World!
If it was actually pulled from an original mold, OK, but it looks just like the second generation pulls I see on eBay.

This is for @Mike Scott and @creaturefan95 a woman after their own hearts plus she is cute and knowledgeable what a combo.
Very jealous of the Mark Alfrey full size Creature! I wanted to see more of her collection. Only saw a handful of things.

as you said the second AHI figure goes for a lot of money especially the Creature from the Black Lagoon I don't have one of them maybe Mike has one).
I wish! The Creature AHI stuff goes for big bucks, especially if you want them on the card! Same for the '60s Hasbro and SPP Creature stuff.

I don't know how mixed they are. I only know the 1st Creature card is #41 and the 2nd one is #110. I'm not a card collector, I'm a Creature collector, so I only collect Creature cards.
For $40 that's a good deal! Less than a buck a card and that's just the ones I see. There seem to be other cards underneath?
