  1. I have a question concerning the business model of CGC. Does anyone happen to know are they owned by a person/group that sees this as a long term business or do they themselves see it as a, relatively, short-term proposition. I only ask as they seem to put little money into actually growing the business but quite a bit of money into getting more and more submissions. One would think that they would invest more into the company, hire/train more graders, increase their output if they saw a great growth opportunity. Maybe they see it as maxed out as a business. A bit of a conspiracy theory I realize, I am just pondering.
  2. Thanks. I should have search 'cool lines' as one word.
  3. I am looking to start purchasing OA (which means I am very new to this) and I wondered if anyone has had dealings with Cool Lines Artwork as an on-line dealer. The website looks okay but a bit low budget considering the price of the items they have. I have e-mailed them and I did receive a very professional and timely response. Any history with this website from anyone?
  4. I am in the middle of 'The Omnivore's Dilemma' and I just finished 'Search for bobby Orr' which is a must read for any hockey (or sports history) fan.
  5. That's a real beauty! (thumbs u Andy If this isn't the proper spot to ask this just ignore the question. I can't decide if I want to keep this book or not. I like the book but I am thinking I could get a decent copy of a silver age key (obviously in a much lower grade) in a trade. I do like the book but maybe I would just be as happy with a 9.4. Any opinions? What would be a reasonable trade for this book?
  6. I also picked this at a flea market for $5 and thought it was pretty neat.
  7. Wow, I had no idea WW #32 was going for so much! I bought mine for $200 or so on eBay a few years ago (it was RAW though).
  8. You have got to be kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!! I covet that book. Actually, any 15 cent Jerry Lewis in grade, but especially that one. That is super-sweet. I have looked for it for quite a while as well. I have been working on a de-powered Wonder Woman covers run and while I am not done yet I had thought this might be the hardest of the issues to fill.
  9. Arrived Today! Only three more Diana Prince Wonder Woman Covers to go covers to go.
  10. what an odd book It really is and there is something about covers with solid colour backgrounds I have always liked.
  11. I picked this one up a while ago but never posted it......
  12. Something about the overhang. I am sure they have a good reason but I am not 100% sure what it is.
  13. One of my few SS books. My favourite one......
  14. I have a few to share! (I know it is PGX but CGC does not slab these type because of the overhang)
  15. Even if that is sarcasm I will take it!
  16. Thanks. I sent it in hoping for a 9.4 and it came back a 9.6 so I was obviously thrilled. Oh, in case anyone thinks it, no, it was not pressed.
  17. It is derailing things a bit but I am a bit of a Moon Knight fan myself (maybe it is time for a Speedball Rules topic ) and I do have the classic WWBN #32 (it graded out to a 9.6 when I sent it in).
