  1. Quick Kudos to Loboagain for some exceptional looking books jkrk for a sweet deal on some Marvels for runs I've been neglecting lately Blue808 for a very nice book that was extremely well packaged (So many layers of protection it was like a square onion) JerryZ for helping me inexpensively rekindle and kick start my Showcase run again And I also missed thanking Dale Roberts for that nice replacement GI Combat book last month. Love that cover
  2. When is graduation and who will be first to dance with whom at the prom ?
  3. I'm living on a cat world then because I've had way more cats than dogs in my life.(and no ASM #1's)
  4. Kudos to JvR11 and for a great Baker cover book and unexpected extras
  5. Kudos to Cyclonecomics for a Star publications issue of Startling Terror Tales #4 Thanks for the bike info. You are the Bike God
  6. Kudos to Trey Cannon for buying his dying dog an ASM #1 If I had know this was for sale on the board I would have bought it for my cat.
  7. So then all you would see is like 10 posts a day on the board. You sure you want that? That would make a great thread topic: How many people do you have on ignore? But if I made it no one would see it
  8. Eviscerator is the word that comes to mind when thinking of JC
  9. More likely JC will be potentially getting many strikes in this thread.
  10. First of all I just want to say "THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!" I've just spent an hour reading through all of this, I don't even have to watch TV anymore. But that I completely agree with Sub. Problems with sellers should stay in the Sellers forum, discussion and all. The probation list really does not change that much and would not tax the mods too much to give them the only access. Once it's decided that someone is on probation then they should be asked to change the list by a very short few pre-determined members (probably Divad as one, ). But again, mods don't participate in the transactions taking place in the marketplace to include management of any sort of probation list--which Arch (and I believe Dena as well) have made pretty clear. This sort of thing needs to be self-monitored and policed. But then who are cgcmod5, cgcmod6, cgcmod7? I was under the assumption that certain long term members of our community operated as volunteers under those aliases to assist the salaried members of CGC. If I'm wrong would it be so hard to pass a name on every month or two via PM or have one of the moderators of the VCC subforum do this every other month or so? I just really think we need a thread to specifically discuss probation issues as a community before a communal consensus is reached and the preference seems to be to leave the general discussion thread for everything else.
  11. If I may suggest: Perhaps there should be a locked probation list thread accessible only by this forums moderators and this massive discussion thread become the "probation discussion thread"
  12. Big Kudos to GACollectibles for a great pulp/comic Thanks for shipping to Canada for no extra charge
  13. It sounds like a case of CS piggybacking his sale of on Filters reputation and you probably are happy because the box you received bears little resemblance to what CS sold these guys.
  14. Can someone post some pictures of the amount of dups, extent of water damage etc? I think it would be good for people to get a look at the merchandise.
  15. Kudos to Ron Kasman for some great reading material and freebie book Towards2112 for a fine selection of books to feed the need. Stinkowiff for a well packed pile ol' FF gman for a triple decker sandwich of comic goodness. Thanks for the transactions, gentlemen.
  16. There are no words to combat the stupidity of what you think this post will accomplish. No one gives two sh**s if you train horses. Still an excuse-laden scammer? But a scammer that trains horses! Oh, well that's different. Well now we know where he gets his compostable_fertilizer from and trainer is a term used in horse racing to denote someone who shovels out the stalls.
  17. That may have been the only funds available for them to seize. Always pay with a credit card... I really hate having to change the payment method from bank transfer to CC on every transaction. Someone told me that if you call them and insist that you want the default as CC they will set it up. Is this true???
  18. Conner PMed me today with some bad news guys. He has met a lady, pierced his nipples, dropped out of school and joined a punk rock band. I wonder if Gilbertotorres is in that band?
  19. His father should be involved in this since he was using his account and he is liable. His father may be able to financially rectify the situation and put his son back on the right course. I still have hope that the end result is everyone gets their money back and Cap comes to his senses and continues in the hobby when he grows up. All his actions may be due to spending beyond his means with no way to replace the funds short term coupled with a teenage recklessness approach to the problem. Call me an optimist
  20. You will witness it firsthand in 2 weeks. Will it be anatomically correct? Its up to you to put any holes in it that you require
  21. The song was originally introduced during The White Album sessions; a demo from the Esher Sessions can be found on Anthology 3. Lennon would describe this song, along with "Mean Mr. Mustard", in The Beatles Anthology as "a bit of I wrote in India". I hate The Beatles. Just a point of view (thumbs u You're dead to me. I'm pretty sure that will affect neither of us in the long run. And mine was just a point of view. Yours was a statement. A *spoon* one. He still loves John Lennon and he is dead so there is still hope for you.
