A Canadian comic is one that was actually printed in Canada. Is this a book that was printed in the US or UK for distribution in other parts of the world like Canada?

My question are: 1) Why would a US publisher print a comic in the US before the embargo of US comics that prevented US comics coming in during wartime be considered a Canadian wartime comic when it is obviously like any old comic printed in the US that was allowed for sale in Canada? Answer: They can, contract or open a plant and print books in any country for economic reasons and, for example , distribute them at a cheaper cost. Printing in Canada allows them to ship to the British Territories which Better Publications of Canada did in Toronto in later years when they opened a branch plant to reprint US issues and take advantage of cost savings as a result The only other similarity I see is it has a Pseudo title that is similar in nature to how Canadian Comics from 40's-50's reprinted material with generic titles like this and were reprints of US material. These books are interesting books if sold on the open market like ebay or the Auction houses and I suggest you sell them there to reach the widest group of collectors.

Hi I have 6 of these Can only dig of 4 of them now) and they are rebound books that Export sold single then rebound many under various titles Big Bargain, Big Master, Big Giant, Big Holiday and Romance-Adventure Thrills for example. None of mine match your stories exactly and they may have made at least 6 issues of each of these titles I've seen 2 Big Master issues with the same cover but different books inside so each may have a unique set of remaindered books Jim

If it arrived in a longbox from Japan you might have a got a rise out of these comic collectors.

My raw copy is not so great with cover off on one staple and centerfold off on both staples with folds and tears on the CF edge as a result. I couldn't tell you its grade only that it looks like it was well loved by its reader.

Unless it was neglected due to a certain date (Feb 14th) and the OP's true life romance that inspired her post here. I suspect some nice new covers, when they arrive, will be populating this thread at some point soon to keep it's comic heart beating.

Christmas is a time for charity and forgiveness so I think it would also be a good time for "pardoning" some probation members, if they express a desire and the petitioning member agrees. Not all are bad to the bone repeat offenders, and just hit bad times or had buyers/sellers ego clashes. It sure would be nice if the list could shrink instead of constantly get bigger and bigger
