  1. Ditto. A few years ago I had a $15,000 Registered package take 2 1/2 weeks to get from Maryland to Michigan, and the Post Office had no idea where it was until I received it.
  2. I don't know, maybe I need to watch No Way Home again. It seemed about as disjointed as MoM when I watched it the first time, so I've been baffled by how well it was received by people here. All four MCU Spidey films struck me as "good", but none of them stands out as better than the others to me.
  3. I was 13 when Star Wars came out, but I've long been of the opinion that when at their best, Clone Wars and Rebels are the best Star Wars there is. I've watched both three times and will definitely watch them again. Rebels does need an end, and I hope the Ahsoka show is able to measure up to what came before. I like Rosario Dawson a lot, so casting her was a great start.
  4. Yeah, every subsequent appearance of Stormtroopers contradicted this early statement by Obi-Wan . . .
  5. I don't know whether the two guys above are able to play at high price levels noted above, but it's weird to complain about work other people do to provide us with information here. I can't play at that level, but I've always found the high-end market very interesting.
  6. I knew the basic story line going in because I had read the comics, but I enjoyed the film. Most of the animated DC films are really good in my opinion. I strongly suspect that the bad reviews for this one were given for the same reason the Zack Snyder DC films got a lot of bad reviews (i.e, "That's not MY Superman").
  7. You need to click on the smiley face above the area you type in; this will bring up a window which allows you to select emojis.
  8. I'd recommend watching the 1960's Addams Family TV show as well - I've noticed some episodes available on YouTube recently. I grew up watching reruns in the late 1960's / early 1970's; the movies prompted me to pick up the DVD set of the TV show, and I still really enjoy watching it.
  9. I don't have a TV plan and don't want one, but I saw the teaser for this and really wanted to see it. I found the blu-ray on Etsy last week and binged it over the past couple days. I really enjoyed it, and I must say Jenna Ortega is phenomenal. I assumed she was about 14 years old, but she's actually 20. She is beyond petite, but they make her look even smaller than she is. No help is needed in that regard when she's next to Gwendolyn Christie (Captain Phasma) because she is 6' 3", but she generally looks to be about 4' 6" and is actually 5' 1". I'm looking forward to more of this!
  10. Yes, and Wednesday used the Chinese Water Torture on Pugsley too.
  11. Is Gavin calling Gitesh a liar, or are we supposed to interpret "This never happened" to mean "This had never happened before"? Either way, it's something which realistically could only happen when Christmas Eve and Christmas Day both fall on a weekend.
  12. My favorite pizza joint went out of business a few months after the pandemic hit.
  13. Yes, the Vengeance #25 was the 3rd one issued and it was considerably harder to find than the others, minus the Vengeance #1 and the #0. The two with Joseph Michael Linsner covers were hard to find at first, but more and more of them began popping up as his collectability dropped off some over the years. Funny thing about the #0 pictured above. I couldn't find my scan from when I sold it on eBay, so I Googled it and found the MCS eBay listing. I don't remember exactly when I sold it or how much I sold it for, but it's probably been five years. My buyer immediately consigned it to MCS at several times my BIN price, and I see now that it still hasn't sold. I remember feeling bad that I had graded it at 9.0 and MCS called it an 8.5. It's down to somewhere around double what I sold it for now.
  14. I found the alternate take of When The Levee Breaks particularly enjoyable, but The Battle Of Evermore probably benefited most from the re-remastering. Great tune.
  15. I chased the Royal Blues from perhaps 2003 to 2017, give or take, and most of them weren't difficult to get. I was left with the impression that there must be fewer than 100 of the #0 and considerably fewer than 100 of the Vengeance #1. The #0 was the last one I got, and it was close to ten years after I had picked up my previous last one. I never did get the Vengeance #1, and when one finally did become available it was a CGC 9.8 listed at $3,600 on eBay.
  16. I'm not into manga or anime, but I enjoyed this enough to re-watch it a couple times. I am a fan of Rodriguez and Walz, but I didn't know Walz was in it until I started watching and I didn't know Rodriguez directed until it was over. I'd love to see a sequel.
  17. Well, she spelled her name Bettie, so the fact that he's using a name that matches the title of this popular fanzine seemed like 2+2=4 at first blush.
  18. I Googled "The Betty Pages" to find an image of the cover of The Betty Pages #1 so I didn't have to try to find my copy. I think there were eight issues of this fanzine. I assumed this was the origin of the name Chuck's using. As it turns out, there is now a website by that name which comes in as the top result in Google, and the description states "Welcome to The Betty Pages! Cascadia's most inclusive alternative-lifestyle entertainment tabloid. Created in Bellingham, Washington."
  19. I wasn't excited about Andor at all initially. I liked Rogue One a lot, but a prequel show to a prequel movie starring a character I didn't find particularly compelling seemed like a disaster waiting to happen. The very positive reviews piqued my interest, though, especially the many "Star Wars for adults" comments. I dislike watching TV shows as the episodes are released - I don't necessarily binge, but I do like to be able to finish at my own pace. Being busy at work kept me from starting until last night. I thought I'd watch two episodes, but I was enjoying it enough that I stayed up until 2:00 AM and watched four episodes. Luna's a better actor than I gave him credit for, and of course Skarsgard is top-notch. I don't recognize many of the other actors, but the acting is a definite strength as are the locales. It's beautifully shot as well.
  20. I foolishly got caught up in the variant craze years ago, but was fortunate to have collected Zenescope stuff early on. I lost on almost everything else when I sold, but the Zenescope stuff did well enough for me to more or less break even as a whole.
  21. There hasn't been much talk about this one. I didn't realize it's an anthology until just now, and apparently all six episodes dropped today. It looks interesting, so I'll be checking it out shortly.
  22. I did the same thing about 25 years ago, suggesting that we only buy for my nephew who was an infant at the time. He's married with two little girls now, and watching the youngsters open and play with their gifts is great fun. My nephew was an odd duck in our family - we noticed by the time he was maybe eight years old that he didn't read anything he wasn't forced to read for school, and the rest of us were reading anything we could get our hands on by that age. He loved Star Wars movies and games, so I started buying him TPBs of the Dark Horse Star Wars comics. He loved them and kept them in good shape (bagged and boarded), and before long he started reading novels as well. It's nice to see someone enjoy a gift, but it's amazing to open a youngster's eyes to a whole new world like that - he just needed a little nudge.
  23. Reeves wasn't involved in 'Rise', and for me that was the best of the three. I did enjoy the others, though. I stumbled across a paperback that was a sequel to 'Rise', and I enjoyed that enough to read it in a single sitting. I still really enjoy the originals I grew up with too, enough that I'll give anything new a look.
