Yeah, with the way the market is and treats previews as appearances, I think the floor for that book is $30-40. Not sure about the ceiling. We will probably find out as the Ahsoka show gets closer.

yeah I didnt even know it was a thing very intresting I wouldn't overpay but seeing marvel previews 95 is definitely interesting but I dont know how it looks inside so I cant be 100 percent sure its a preview its probably just the cover of clone wars 1 on the inside  and you can barely see her

Last week, while cleaning up my backroom, I fond a box of old SDCC giveaways.  Included were about a dozen copies of Discover Dark Horse 2008.  I saw a bunch of ebay sales in the $40-$50 range but they all seem to be from the same seller.

It  is a preview book for upcoming Dark Horse projects and was released a few months before the actual books were.

Can anyone tell me if these are worth sending in to get slabbed.

the one with hellboy is interesting looks like there's a preview of ashoka  sells for around 30-40

I know people are crazy now paying $1200 - $1500 (cgc 9.8)  for Jedi vs sith 1 or Knights of the Old Republic 9 but even if they are scarcer books i think the caracters will not be as popular as other characters introduced in less expensive books .

revan is very popular and if he gets a movie or show kotor 9 will be more expensive than it is same with darth bane

There is certainly a recent trend of a lot of 2nd and 3rd prints+ being worth more than the 1st print which was almost unherd of with maybe a small handful of exceptions. Now there are quite a few. The 1st edition is still usually worth more, but the exceptions list list growing

Some examples of the top of my head
    Darth Maul 2
    Kanan the Last Padawan 1
    Darth Vader 3
    Dawn of the Jedi 1
    Captain Marvel 17
All-New Marvel Now Point One! 1
    Amazing Spider-man 569
    Amazing Spider-man 654
    Superman Batman Annual 4
    Man of Steel 20
    Batman 608
    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4
    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 5
    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 6
    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 7
    Venom 2
    Ms Marvel 1
    I know I'm forgetting a bunch

venom 3 3rd print carnage usa 2 2nd print  hulk 377 and king thor 2 off the top of my head thats not from your list

I don’t understand why second, third, fourth, etc. prints are valuable and sought after these days.. I know somebody will tell me “low print run” which I kind of get, but with that logic what’s the point of ever buying a newly released comic these days until the second printing comes out..?

and if the particular comic is a first appearance then how are later prints of that issue still considered the first appended when they are released months after the true first appearance (first print) came out?

By that logic my facsimile Hulk 181 is the first appearance of Wolverine and surely has a lower print run than the original, so how much are you willing to pay me for it?

Am I the only one who is baffled by this recent trend? I just don’t see the value of these later prints holding up

sometimes people want a 2nd print because the cover is better and its harder to find but most of the time 1st prints are worth more
