  1. These aren't new to my collection; have had them since the '70s but I was pulling stuff from Photobucket so i figured I'd toss them up.
  2. The picture is low res but that one looks like it may be legit. Where are you “finding” these? Not every seller on ebay is reputable and even less so on Facebook. If you really want a Stan autograph that’s 100% legit, you should just buy a yellow label CGC Signature Series book. You don’t seem particular about the comic; you ought to be able to pick something up starting around $100, which is pretty much what his signing fee and encapsulation would have cost you in the first place, if not less.
  3. Did this collector ever runs ads in Overstreet in which he was not fully clothed?
  4. I probably should have phrased my comment differently. I don't think the last few years have been any great shakes either; this year's batch is sort of a new low to me.
  5. That was my first as well. As a young person, I could never understand all the hubbub over Barks' paintings. In fact as an adult, <cough, cough> I still can't. I can appreciate the actual comic pages and his drawing and storytelling abilities, but the paintings don't do anything for me.
  6. All a press does is flatten a book and smooth out non color breaking bends or indentations. It's not going to replace the missing LRC nor will it do anything about the tanning. It may even pop the upper staple if it is as precarious as it looks.
  7. Levy fines? Shut a business down? Nope. They do neither. https://www.ncconsumer.org/news-articles-eg/the-better-business-bureau-bbb-is-powerless-tohelp-resolve-consumer-complaints.html
  8. Saw it this weekend with the missus, son, 6 of his buddies and a 2 other moms. Everybody liked it and had fun. It was a little too sprawling and detail-packed for me. And I think I expected a slightly more upbeat ending; I’m a bit bummed to think that’s it for characters and movies I’ve enjoyed.
  9. Nice book; I agree completely. Already posted these but i think they look great for the grade, plus I grabbed the Avengers for about $65 under GPA.
  10. This is a first; I can't remember an edition where I didn't like ANY of the covers.
  11. #14. Not so tough to find, I just haven’t been looking very actively. I didn’t do much buying last year, either.
  12. Thanks! Yeah, a lot of other copies I came across were either buttrags or too nice for my budget.
  13. Just picked this up from Ciorac. One down, one to go to finish my TOS run.
  14. It's no Straw-Man upgrade, but it's an upgrade from my previous copy.
  15. Okay, here we have the pièce de résistance! A can of Batman Spaghettios going back at least 13 years! Expired in 2006! I would not recommend eating them. Yours for a whopping $5 plus shipping!
  16. Comix Book #1, VF/NM. $16. Soiling on BC should clean up easily, it's a pretty nice copy. Marvel's brief foray into the underground comics scene of the early 70s. The credits read like a Who's Who: Denis Kitchen, Trina Robbins, Art Spiegelman, Basil Wolverton, Skip Williamson, Kim Deitch and more. This is a mag, BTW.
  17. Adventures into the Unknown #36, $20. Cover detached, and close to splitting. Otherwise complete and readable.
