  1. Sales details are as follow: I can ship up to 3-4 books in the Priority Envelope for $7.00; boxed a little higher and at cost (around at $8-$10) but will cheerfully ship via First Class (starts at $4) for cheaper books to keep the costs down. PM for international shipping quotes or questions. As usual, drop the if you'd like the book in the thread or via PM. In the event more than one person would like a book, the first by timestamp gets it regardless whether via PM or in the thread. Payment is expected within 7 days of invoice; payment accepted via PayPal; checks or postal money orders are fine, too. And of course, if you're not happy, return the books for your money back.
  2. Did you spell that right? I can't find any users by that name.
  3. No kidding. The scenario I see is he was trying to pull a scam, was caught and got shut down and then tried to pass it off as a problem with his wife and mother-ln-law.
  4. Didn’t the same situation happen a few years ago? Books en route to Metropolis wound up at a comic shop instead and were recovered. Or am I thinking of something else? Paging @BlowUpTheMoon
  5. That's impressive! I figured we'd have to wait for Greggy to show up with his pillows. Where's Spidey?
  6. They are, but Brent hasn't posted in years. Have you tried calling or emailing through the website? He advertises in Overstreet as well, IIRC.
  7. From: https://www.cgccomics.com/ccs-pressing/ Pressing Pressing is a process that can enhance the appearance of a comic book by removing non-color breaking defects such as dents, bends, crunches, rippling, warping, spine rolls and indentations. It neither adds nor takes away from the comic, making it a non-restorative process that will not make a comic book “restored.” Dry cleaning a comic to remove soiling and any unwanted substance is also considered a non-restorative process, and is included in the CCS pressing service when necessary. CCS is the industry leader in comic book pressing. Our multi-step process has been modified and honed through thousands of hours of research and development. We’ve pressed hundreds of thousands of comics, many of them regarded as the most valuable in the hobby. Our experienced Pressing team has been entrusted with pedigrees, key issues, modern comics, signature series, atypical comics, and abnormal defects, all with expert results. We have broken down the most basic questions below. When you feel that you are ready to submit your books to CCS, go to our submission page to start the process. QuickPress QuickPress is a fast and inexpensive alternative to our multi-step standard Pressing service. It includes the removal of the same defects as regular pressing (dents, bends, crunches, rippling, warping, spine rolls and indentions) and includes dry cleaning as well. For expediency, QuickPress comics only pass through the process once; any remaining defects will not be further treated as they normally would during the full pressing process. The best candidates for QuickPress tend to be high-grade moderns, which exhibit very few flaws to remove, and mid to low-grade books that have a large number of pressable defects. The QuickPress service is also ideal for raw comics to enhance their appearance in hand. To maintain the low cost and speed of this tier, CCS does not offer the Screening service for QuickPress. As a result, please check all QuickPress submissions to insure the comics are not fragile, including tanning, brittleness, splitting spines, weak staple areas or pieces that are barely attached.

  9. That is correct. It sucks and does not work with my model at all. There's been some discussion about it, scroll back a page or so. Basic workaround is to cancel it yourself just shy of the 30 day mark. Good ol' ebay management, helping its sellers.
  10. First and foremost, posting books graded by the other guys is frowned upon by our CGC Overlords and against Board Rules. That said, the back cover looks problematical to me. That’s a very noticeable stain LLC. There’s a lot of soiling by the spine and it looks dirty elsewhere. Is that a slight staple pull on the lower staple? How bad is the distributor spray? Is it all over the top edge? Does it bleed into many pages?
  11. Like some other folks have said, if it’s on an SA or newer book I avoid entirely. I do have several PCH books with tape though, that would have been too expensive or difficult to find without otherwise.
  12. Wow. That's awful. You should post this in General, it'll get buried here.
  13. A trimmed 3.0 with CT sold twice in 2018, once for $9300 and again for $9050.
