  1. I just did a search for your items by seller. I see a bunch of new listings from 8/28, and one from 8/29, a New Mutants 28. No Wolverine Limited Series or X-Men 130.
  2. Hi Sha. I don't think it's a Beta test, I think it's a genuine glitch. As I just mentioned to 1cool, It's not that the new listings are hard to find, it's that they only visible and accessible though the "My Selling" page. For example, I have 51 items listed. Let's say the one I listed yesterday was Iron Man #55. If I search for Iron Man #55, I get dozens of listings but not mine. If i go to one of my other listings and click on "See other items," "Iron Man #55 is not there, just my other 50 listings. As far as doing new ebay things, I always jump through the hoops as painful as they are.

  4. That's not just any pencil pusher on the Beware 11, that's Myron Fass hisself!
  5. Is anybody having any issues with their listings being visible? I put a book up yesterday afternoon. It does not show up in a search and also does not show up when clicking on “View seller’s other items.” I listed something else this morning and have the same problem. The books are showing up on my selling page, however. I don’t have time at the moment to sit on the phone and wait for a rep.
  6. IIRC, many moons ago while still at the helm of CGC, Borock attempted to convince Josh Nathanson that CL should not accept PGX as he felt it only helped legitimize an inferior and dubious product.
  7. If I were in the market for a restored key, I’d choose a slabbed copy over a raw unless I was able to inspect it myself or knew the seller. Slabbing will add an extra layer of security. CGC may not be infallible, but I would trust their restoration assessment to be more thorough than that of an anonymous seller. And for a big book, even a purple label will have more liquidity.
  8. I think you need to go back to Grading School. 4.0, maybe a 4.5.
  9. How Wheels were a blast. I still have a good amount of mine; handed them down to my son. He's nearing tweenhood though and hasn't had any interest in them for a while/
  10. That thing SUCKED. One of the most disappointing toys ever. It boggles my mind those things were manufactured for years instead of dying a quick death.
  11. Do you ask for 70% off the BIN if the book is already priced at the bottom end of FMV if not lower?
  12. I generally don’t use the Best Offer feature but get them anyway. This morning I got one asking if I’d shave almost 30% off a $34 book. I declined. This afternoon I got one for the same book asking for what amounts to a $2.50 discount. I’ll probably accept that one, though it’s tempting not to just because it’s so ridiculous.
  13. That auction didn’t sell on ebay. It was relisted and just ended yesterday. Don’t know if this link will work: https://www.ebay.com/itm/JACK-KIRBY-Hand-Signed-Autographed-Original-SILVER-SURFER-Art-w-COA-/183388166244?item=183388166244&ViewItem=&nma=true&si=cI5PWQO9aUhB%2BuJxxZYwesa8SyY%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  14. I’m not seeing signs of obvious color touch. The color breaking crease still breaks color from where I sit, and registration and magenta/red hues can shift throughout a print run, especially on older books. Here’s a closeup of the corner of my blue-label #1:
  15. Closing in on the JIM 50-125 run, down to needing two issues after picking this up.
  16. And it wasn't just "a post". He had a long history of acting like a person_too_unaware_of_social_graces, to say the least.
  17. There is unfortunately no monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly 1-day show in metro Boston and hasn’t been for some time. The original one that had gone on for years and years was run into the ground about 2008-09 or so. (I could be off). Larry’s Comics eventually started a new monthly show in Woburn that was small but fantastic, just dealers and comics. That ran for a while but eventually he couldn’t do it anymore. Chris’ Comics in NH ran a 1 day show in May; another is coming up in September. http://www.chriscardscomics.com/Events.html They used to run a regular show in NH years ago before losing the venue. Hopefully they’ll be able to keep this new one afloat. Little Giant ran a 1 day show in NH this past spring. There’s supposed to be another next spring. http://littlegiantcomics.com/old-school-comic-show.html I didn’t walk out with much, but there were a lot of dealers. Harry Martin runs a 1-day show in Franklin. Not quite monthly but almost. Its a smaller show and can be hit or miss. http://mymummy.com/shows_conventions.html Gary Sohmers runs the Northeast Comic Con. Pontoon says Bleh. I’ve been to several. Location has moved several times. Limited amount of dealers and high admission. Theres’s the Plastic City Con. I gave it a shot this year. It was meh. It’s a comic-centric show but they really need more dealers. http://www.plasticcitycomiccon.com/ Rubber Chicken ran a show in Uxbridge in June, I couldn’t make it, but they’re good guys. https://www.facebook.com/events/214757542416931/ Best for buying GA? My guess is the Reed show in NY, can’t imagine it would’t beat any of the New England shows hands down. Between Providence/Hartford/Boston I’d say Boston, and I’m not a huge fan of the show it has turned into. It’s a celeb-driven pop culture event now where the ratio of tchotchke sellers far outnumbers comic dealers. However, for GA books you usually get Superworld, Harley Yee and James Payette. It’s the one show a year he sets up at. (Though it was actually his second this year; he also set up at the Little Giant show.) I’ve never been to Terrificon which is this weekend; I have a feeling it’s a good show. I’ve also never made it to the Windsor show, it’s a bit of a haul for me as I'm north of Boston.
  18. Needing to raise some cash I tried to sell this maybe 7 years ago on the boards but had no takers. Thankfully!
