  1. I like the Strange Tales of the Unusual and Journey Into Mystery stats in the background.
  2. The moment everyone has been waiting for is now here! Episode 2 of The Baby and Pigmon Show is up! The big kaiju battle takes place halfway through if you're short on time.
  3. For all intents and purposes, old deep threads are now lost. Google was always a necessary component of searching on the old boards. With old threads not indexed and without being able to locate proper search words it’s not going to be possible. I’m not going to waste time arguing. I’d be happy to be proven an insufficiently_thoughtful_person and shown how easy it is though. Let’s pick an easy one. Can you pull up the thread where Josh and George hash it out regarding Comiclink being included in GPA?
  4. Wow. This really, really, really sucks. An incredible wealth of information is now gone. I'd like to think that all will eventually be reinstated and SEARCHABLE here, but somehow I doubt it. Tons of vital reference has now disappeared. What an awesomely stupid decision that was.
  5. I always found the death of Captain Stacy more upsetting than Gwen.
  6. Unless you pay by check, you'll get hit with a 3% convenience fee.
  7. The Nuclear Creature looks like the cousin of The Creature from Inner Space from House of Mystery #79, also done by Kirby.
  8. I'm not sure if a comic has ever made me cry, but as a lad I always thought Man-Thing #5, "Night of the Laughing Dead," about the clown who commits suicide was pretty sad. Re: Jimmy Corrigan. Those were always bleak and I remain an admirer of Chris Ware, but as Acme Novelty progressed, it just got more and more downbeat. The humor than ran through the earlier issues seemed to dissipate in later years. I didn’t even read the last one; I got tired of feeling beaten over the head. Currently I find Seth very emotionally engaging. His work has as much depth and insight as a lengthy novel.
  9. I dunno. I don't see any wheatcake syrup on the table.
  10. Thanks! Sounds good on paper, but there’s got to be some way that ebay will make it tougher for sellers in the process. Curious to see how it plays out. Plus I’d still rather have the 20% than all this other garbage. Jumping through even stricter hoops for 10% might not be worth it.
  11. I missed that part; which page is it on? I had the same thing happen a week ago; didn't notice until the next morning after I was already at work. Barely got it to the PO in time after I got home and got it packaged.
  12. I would just buy reading copies of the originals. I find the reproduction quality of the majority of omnibi and TPBs to be sub-par.
  13. This is probably one of my all-time favorite comics. The art is fantastic; Jack Kirby with John Severin inks. Someday I should get an upgrade. Here's one of the splash pages:
  14. I'd prefer a less chippedey copy, but still a pretty cool cover:
  15. I haven't read it in a while and forget. Do they feed her wheatcakes? That would be the clincher.
  16. Nope, it has not. It remains a plausible theory. And based on what I've read by and about Ditko, it would be very unlikely that he would have donated it. I don't have the multi-quote function down yet. Yeah, in the comic art groups i move in it was pretty much thought it was Marie who did it. As for Ditko, in theory objectivism and its followers shouldn't have an issue donating an item to the federal government like the AF15 pages so that wouldn't preclude Ditko. However based on his views about physical art from the past and its importance now I would think he wouldn't care enough to make the trip to donate it. I think right now its on her still as the single strongest option. Yeah, from what I've read she seems like the best guess. Multiquotes!

I don't have the multi-quote function down yet. Mr. Pontoon, the easiest way to multi-quote is to highlight everything you want to quote and then a 'quote this' tab pops up and you click on it. Ahh! Thank you!
