  1. Hey Green! Short version is Chip was holding a sales thread and telling folks that he was in dire straights and the money from the sales would help dig him out of a hole. People bought from him and he never followed through on the deals. After some digging, it was found that this is a pattern of his going back to several other message boards from years ago. Repeatedly preying on people's sympathies seems to be the issue at the heart of this. But you left out the part about the gofundme ploy. The meltdown was epic. Linkydink:
  2. In Japan, the hands can be used like a knife! But this method doesn't work... with a tomato!
  3. Reminds me of Anything Goes - liquor in the front, poker in the rear.
  4. That's quite the 4-hit combo, CONGRATS on the goals you should also sell kebabs. Sounds like a good idea. Especially since Blob’s deck is probably right next to his garage – I mean, office/gallery/shop.
  5. But the original poster of this thread is in Canada. It was initiated to lament the expense of the exchange rate and international shipping.
  6. Where are you getting those prices from? A Medium Flat Rate box to Canada is going to be $45.95. A Flat Rate Envelope clocks in at $24.95. You can package several books in one of those with heavy cardboard, but not 15. A single book First Class in a bubble mailer with cardboard is going to run $15.50.
  7. Atomic Age isn't theme specific. It's a time period. I also can't consider anything pre-code top be Silver Age. Just can't do it. I'm going to be that guy and say +1.
  8. Retro is one thing; #2 looks like the sign from a hot dog stand Raj, Dwayne, and Rerun would visit on What's Happening! #3 looks like an amorphous blob and #1 looks like a cross between a brokerage company and a toy store. I’d send the designer back to the drawing board or better yet find a new one. You must have connections being in printing.
  9. No no. It's all good. I think you actually win a prize. You're the 1,000,000th person to tell me that. I've had homeless people on the streets of Chicago tell me that of all things. It's no biggie at this point. I guess I forgot the
  10. You've been here 11 years and don't know the degree to which comix4fun despises that joke? If you haven't PM'd an apology get I'd get right on it. I'll try and keep it rolling. Here's myself with Amber Benson. I bought a few books from her and asked about a photo; she suggested getting up from her table to take it,
  11. Woo-hoo! The Boards/Photobucket connection has been restored! Let's celebrate with another Turok:
  12. I have probably dozens of sigs in my collection that I've obtained over the years. All are raw except for a yellow label that was a gift.
  13. Marty hangs out across the street these days. I don't care for the new boards either, but I think he gave up on them a little too quickly.
  14. Just curious since everybody has different spending levels. What do you guys consider princely? I see lots of mid-grade copies selling for $50-$100 on ebay.
  15. As posted by FT, comicanadirect.com is another excellent source. Here is my ASM #21, a Comicana VG or VG+. (I forget which.)
