The stickied threads have fancy new titles!

Does it appear that we've gone full circle now, and that "anything goes"? It no longer makes sense having split threads; it no longer makes sense having guidelines; anarchy rules.

Doesn't seem that way to me. There are many, many, many sales threads popping up lately, but everything on the first page looks within the guidelines upon a cursory glance.

What's up lately with people asking for free shipping on $5 and $10 books? I'm cheap as can be but I don't go around basically asking for something for nothing.

In all seriousness however.....I don't disagree with JC. I don't make any specific rules to the contrary but if I see any quick replying/editing going on in a sales thread of mine where there is some competition, I will mention it and ask that person to cut it out and post the book you're buying like everyone else does. I don't think it's right.

If somebody ever tries to quick-post me out of a Plop or Not Brand Echh, there'll be heck to pay!

How come people always pay me? Even the 3 buyers with a combined 4 posts have paid me for some VCC purchases?

 

They are clearly afraid of waking up in a ditch dressed as Wonder Woman with a missing wallet and a sore azz, and not remembering how they got there.

I'm out $240 to Matmarvels, for six X-23 comics, which He says shipped 11/22/07. I understand I should'nt have waited so long to post this... at least now I can say I gave Him more than the benifit of a doubt to resolve this problem... at the moment He hasn't replied to My PM's. this was My 1st buy thru these forums. now it will probably be My last.

Who are these people? I`ve never heard of half of the members who are cited in this thread. Are they "real" members or do they just come on to buy or sell? If the latter, then it seems dealing with this type of "fellow board member" is just as risky as dealing with some anonymous stranger on eBay.

That's why I keep suggesting at least a minimal post count be required before selling here, but I'm just a lonely voice in the wilderness, derided for expressing such a sage recommendation.

I know that this was a topic once discussed but the volume of new users and selling threads seem to be increasing.

 

Was there any decision made that new users need to wait a certain amount of time before selling in the market place?

 

 

 

 

After every VCC there seems to be a bump in the number of new sellers.

 

I'm still against any sort of restrictions on who can and can't sell here. I think us boardies do a great job of policing this place and the law-breakers are usually swiftly vanquished.

 

Sadly, there are those few enablers who buy from sellers who don't post prices or follow the rules. And those people suck.

A few? There's plenty! These fly-by-night sellers should be ignored or pointed to the rules and then ignored, but some people have to have their comics and encourage these guys either through buying or bumping their threads with chatter. I tired quickly from pointing out the rules to these sellers, because I'm then lambasted by other board members.

Restricting new sellers to a minimum of posts before they can sell isn't really that much of an imposition or restriction.

Not to compete with the VCC I'll have a little sales thread on Monday.

Nothing grand like the CGC 9.4 Hulk annual 1 from my last thread.

Just some low grade SA/early BA readers.
