  1. No kidding. His horror stuff is great and gave me the willies as a kid. Congrats to Scrooge!
  2. I just picked this one up a few weeks ago. Yes, it’s a panel page and a late one to boot where Kirby’s drawing was showing signs of his health problems, but the overall design and flow and weirdness appeals to me. And besides, I heart Kirby. Mike Thibodeaux’s inks look a little shaky close up but I recall reading that Mike Royer had trouble with bleeding on certain boards Jack used at one time, so I suspect that may be the case here. The scan hides most, if not all of it. And I almost forgot: I was able to use ebay's 10% discount, and covered 2/3rds of the cost using spare change I'd saved.
  3. Montalban always reminds me of Montalban's 5 Stages of Being an Actor: 1. Who is Ricardo Montalbán? 2. Get me Ricardo Montalbán. 3. Get me a Ricardo Montalbán type. 4. Get me a young Ricardo Montalbán. 5. Who is Ricardo Montalbán?
  4. Cole. Amazing cover artist. What's more amazing is that cd4ever could tell it was him.
  5. Big kudos to mr.schomburg for the JIM and jimjum12 for the Fury and the Foxhole!
  6. Where's my krappy book? What's all this about Greggy's unbelieveable package?
  7. Big kudos to TakinShotsToQuit for a few nice Westerns and insanely fast shipping. (thumbs u
  8. Great movie, isn't it? Probably scared the sheit out of more kids than you can count. Loved it as a kid! "Sweetums like sleep..." Gosh, you learn something new every day. I always thought Sweetums’ first appearance was in the Muppet Musicians of Bremen. Can’t remember the Frog Prince at all, although maybe if I saw it I would.
  9. Could it be because they are listed by a dealer, and thus have a perception of being offered elsewhere first? The "stink" of dealer stock...so to speak. No, that can't be it. It's not for me anyway. I've seen some nice books offered there that simply aren't priority or in the budget at the given moment. And I have been tipped off to ebay auctions I might've missed otherwise.
  10. Have you ever burned your azz doing that?
  11. Now that's more like it! And I find the Doctor's comment sage indeed.
  12. Don't participate then. It works for me. I haven't really taken part in this one. Or the last bit of numbskullery, the topic of which I blissfully forget at the moment. But I like to keep abreast of what's going on so I feel compelled to read them.
  13. I wish we didn't have discussions like these all the time.
  14. I'll be taking a look at the Sales Forum tonight, unless I don't get around to it or don't feel like it or watch a movie.
  15. These last few pages are among the most inane I've read in the discussion thread. What an incredible amount of fussing over nothing. Though maybe I shouldn't say that before heading over to General.
  16. Why do this??? Because you paid the asking price and the Seller is a bad guy??? Two wrongs do not make one right... CAL the Seller today... Um...I was joking. Stop joking and sell some books!
  17. about the same response my precodes got... Ya gotta suck up to the crowd by saying things like, "Hey, this one is for Doc, 9.8 Moderns" or "Yo, check it out greggy, 9.8 100 pagers!" I Photoshopped Greggy's name onto one of the books in my last posting here and nobody noticed. And Shiverbones - awesome pre-codes!!!
  18. Whay do you care? Please put me back on ignore Because you poke and probe and then never follow up. That's what my prom date said!
