  2. Bullet #130, UK weekly, Aug 5, 1978, $8. Juggernaut Jones debut!
  3. Astonishing Tales #10, F/VF, $12. Barry Smith art.
  4. Astonishing Tales #12, VF-, $64, slight stain bc
  5. Astonishing Tales #13, VF-, $40, slight foxing
  6. This will be a mix of mostly Marvels and maybe miscellany with a few reruns included. Sales details are as follow: I can ship up to 3-4 books in the Priority Envelope for $9; boxed a little higher and at cost (around $10-$13) but will also cheerfully ship via First Class (starts at $6.00) to keep the costs down. A single slab at $13. PM for international shipping quotes or questions. As usual, drop the if you'd like the book in the thread or via PM. In the event more than one person would like a book, the first by timestamp gets it regardless whether via PM or in the thread. If you're on any lists, forget about it. Payment is expected within 5 days of invoice, payment accepted via PayPal. And of course, if you're not happy, return the books for your money back; however, no returns on slabs.
  7. Thanks a lot! I still have a ways to go and lots to learn, but I can at least finish a kit feeling mostly satisfied.
  8. I unexpectedly had less than 2 hours to spend at the show so I didn't do a lot of longbox diving. Some dealers' inventory was priced very optimistically. I pulled an Astonishing #55 from one box that was no better than a rough VG on a good day that was priced at $200; that's about 4x what it usually goes for. Pressed for time, it was a one-and-done day for me but I'm happy with my pickup.
  9. I assume one was that Carnage dude? At least I think it's Carnage. Pretty sure he's shown up every year, saw him in the parking lot suiting up as I was leaving. Gotta be one of my least favorite costumes since it takes up a ridiculous amount of space with those stupid arms and it's not really a venue with room for something that size.
  10. I did not care for the trailer but I *might* go check it out tomorrow if I have extra time. I'm kind of curious and wonder "It's got to be better than the trailer, right?"
  11. "Silver and Bronze Marvel & DC, comic magazines, posters, mostly cheap" would be fine for me.
  12. Silver and Bronze Marvel & DC, comic magazines, posters, books, toys, Nerf guns and napkins. Priority Mail starts at $9 and First Class at $6; a single slab at $13. International at cost. Toy shipping about $9-$21 based on weight and location. Please shoot me a PM if you'd like anything or have any questions; back cover scans cheerfully provided for any books. Payment accepted via PayPal and is expected within 5 days of invoice. No returns on slabs. I will be away at the opening of the VCC. PMs answered in order received. No early birds please! 13. There's a lot of variables involved, and many depend on your personal preferences. Is this a keeper or a book you intend to sell? If you're keeping it, how much do these defects bug you? It may make more sense to sell it as is and buy another copy. The tape and color touch would bother me more than the waviness. If you plan to sell it, I'd leave it as is. Slight color touch may not be as slight as you think. Many times the way to remove CT is to scrape it off which can have hideous results, but some people prefer to have a Blue Label with ugly scraping rather than a Purple that presents better. The red area under "Man" looks blotchy in the photos. If that's where the CT is and if they can remove it, it won't be pretty when they're done.
  14. Nice job! It looks great! When you made your initial request, I wondered if it was legit given your join date and post count. Glad to see it was.
  15. This game seems oddly familiar... I'll at least make an initial attempt to catch up.
