  1. I always thought them to be production related. Would love to hear from someone who knows why they happen.
  2. If he is grading books, the answer is yes...he is grading books that have been pressed. According to CGC, the graders would not know WHO pressed them.
  3. A Universal Spider-Man 1 in 2.0 is worth about the same as a 3.5 restored (not slight but restored with pieces added/trimmed/etc.).
  4. All resto can be removed. It all depends how much you want to damage the book. Since it all appears to be amateur, it will have to be "dug" out of the cover and interior pages. That means the book will have spots, or even lines, where material is scraped off/through the book. Unless very minor, it is always unsightly, but can result in the Universal grade.
  5. First interior page of the book. That's what those little dots are in the upper left corner. May go through more than one page, you need to check.
  6. Yes, it would be a purple label. You would have to get that scraped off, including the first wrap, as the ink bled through.
  7. Look in the 12 cent logo. Looks like an extra staple was added at one time. When removed they probably used a marker to color touch the holes.
  8. At this level it may be the case. To have all that CT scrapped off the book, you would lose some paper, especially around the top edge of the spine and the top staple. Unfortunate.
  9. Is that color touch along the spine or just shadowing?
  10. They will, but it comes at a cost. In some cases so much color has to be removed, that the book looks like a bug crawled across it and chewed away. Most amateur CT removal results in the book having some paper removed completely, not just the color.
  11. Get a professional involved. I'm sure you know a few Steve.
  12. Even more heartbroken now that it sold for my asking price.
  13. I sell comics to pay my bills...and I don't mind losing customers like this.
  14. Does your guy buy comics and other things?
  15. Heartbroken. Here is his last salvo after I let him know I blocked him from any future transactions. "Wow, aren't you just the person of the year...LOL. I spend THOUSANDS of dollars every month and you blocked me? LOL OK.I will spend my money with people not sure rude.Have a wonderful life pal".
  16. Just had this reply to a lowball offer that i declined. "Shame you didn't do a counter offer and just declined. I would have bought it from you. But since you chose that path, I will just wait to buy from someone else.Shame you chose to just decline and not be flexible".
  17. That's it for tonight. Depending on how sales go I will list another 10 books (all 9.8's).
