  1. Many square bound books have gnarly spines and CGC takes that into account when grading the book. Pressing May marginally make that better but it will also open up other problems. You would have to bleach out the tanning and dust shadow in order to improve the whiteness of the cover, which, when done, may garner a conserved grade.
  2. Here is a suggestion that should be included in each box (very similar to the form CGC requires when you drop off books). Type out on a piece of paper the following. 1. each invoice that is included in the box 2. each number of books per invoice. 3. a total of how many books are in the package. Place this at the very top (inside) of the box so it’s the first thing they see. At a minimum it is another checklist the employee opening the box can check the contents of the package against. Fool proof? No.
  3. The top left corner of the front cover looks suspect. Is it the lighting or is the green ink different above the 12 cents box?
  4. Since it appears to cast a shadow I would say it could be in between the wells. Looks like a small piece of paper of lint from clothing.
  5. I just love it when the rules change in the middle of the game.
  6. Incredible Hulk Annual 1 CGC 9.4 Last sale in August was $2,600.00 This is a very sharp-looking copy. A small abrasion on the top right corner is all I see wrong. If it doesn’t sell, I may submit it again. $2,200.00
  7. Captain Marvel 28 CGC 9.6 Last sale was $2,400.00 in January $2,000.00
  8. Silver Surfer 4 CGC 7.0 Looks worlds better than the assigned grade. Tear on back cover. $900.00
  9. Going after a grail so for sale only. Not sure of the books history except the Surfer 4. It was pressed. No one in any lists or if I have you on ignore. Price includes shipping in CONUS. Paypal and personal checks accepted. No returns on slabbed books so ask questions up front.
  10. Looks like a combination of color rub and ink transfer. Since some of the black ink has been rubbed off I doubt it would get a 9.8, but CGC has been handing out some gift grades of late…so you never know.
  11. IIRC CGC changed their stance when Voldy stopped including paper. Correction. I don’t think Voldy ever did include paper.
  12. I crack out a lot of slabs every week. Many of them have been recently graded and rarely see any micro chamber paper in them.
  13. There are also smudges and fingerprints. Add that to the general wear and sub crease I see 4.5/5.0 if cleaned and pressed properly.
  14. If you do get it pressed make sure it goes to someone competent. That book has a lot of tanning and in the wrong hands an improper press could result in a grade drop.
